Disgraced former FBI boss James Comey is scheduled to testify before Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill Friday; facing tough questions over his role in Hillary Clinton’s botched email investigation and the 2016 presidential election.
“Republicans are poised to grill former FBI Director James Comey on Friday in what could be the final act in a dramatic effort to probe allegations of bias at the Justice Department before Democrats take over the House,” writes the Hill.

COMEY CASHES IN: Disgraced FBI Boss’s New Book OUTSELLING Clinton, Wolff
Former FBI director James Comey’s Trump-bashing memoir shot to the top of the best-seller list Tuesday; outperforming both Hillary Clinton’s and Michael Wolff’s total sales combined.
According to the New York Times, Comey’s tell-all book, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership” blasted through sales expectations after his media-hyped publicity tour; stopping by The View, The Late Show, and countless other liberal outlets.
“Mr. Comey’s publisher, Flatiron Books, has ordered multiple reprints to meet demand, and now has more than a million copies in print,” writes the Times. “The early sales figures for Mr. Comey’s book dwarfed other recent political best sellers.”
Initial sales figures have the book selling over 600,000 copies.
The former FBI director made national headlines last week after his public attacks against President Trump; calling the Commander-in-Chief a “mob boss” acting as the head of an organized crime family.
COMEY CAVES: Former FBI Boss Agrees to Testify Before Congressional Lawmakers
The disgraced former chief of the FBI agreed to testify before Congressional lawmakers this week; reaching a tentative deal to speak privately with legislators about Hillary Clinton’s botched email server investigation during the 2016 presidential election.
“The former director of the F.B.I., James B. Comey, has reached an agreement with Republican lawmakers to testify behind closed doors about investigations into Hillary Clinton’s email server and whether President Trump’s campaign advisers colluded with the Russian government to steer the outcome of the 2016 presidential election,” writes the NY Times.
“Grateful for a fair hearing from judge. Hard to protect my rights without being in contempt, which I don’t believe in. So will sit in the dark, but Republicans agree I’m free to talk when done and transcript released in 24 hours. This is the closest I can get to public testimony,” Comey tweeted Sunday.

Comey’s agreement sets the stage for a high-stakes showdown between the former bureau boss and his GOP critics; many of whom argue he intentionally let Clinton off-the-hook during her run for the White House.
