DELICIOUS DIPLOMACY: Kim Jong Un Hopes to Open MCDONALD’S in North Korea

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.04.18

North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is reportedly working hard to open a McDonald’s restaurant in the heart of his nations’ capital in recent weeks, sending a “goodwill gesture” towards the United States ahead of next months’ possible talks with President Trump.

According to Fox News, the communist leader wants to open the fast-service restaurant in Pyongyang as both North Korean officials and their US counterparts prepare for potential denuclearization negotiations.

Kim Jong Un’s late father was such a fan of the iconic American restaurant that he reportedly had the hamburgers flown into North Korea from the nearest McDonald’s restaurant in neighboring China.

“Compared to the threat of nuclear war, of course, a Pyongyang McDonald’s seems like small fries. But experts and history suggest there’s more at play here than one token franchise,” writes the Washington Post.

COMING HOME: Kim Jong Un Releases THREE American Prisoners

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.09.18

Three American prisoners held by North Korea have been released following high-level meetings between the communist regime and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, reports Fox News.

President Trump confirmed their release on social media Wednesday morning; adding the Americans were “in the air” and on their way back to the United States alongside the Secretary of State.

“I am pleased to inform you that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is in the air and on his way back from North Korea with the 3 wonderful gentlemen that everyone is looking so forward to meeting. They seem to be in good health. Also, good meeting with Kim Jong Un. Date & Place set,” tweeted the President.

The decision to release the prisoners sets the stage for the President’s highly-anticipated meeting with Kim Jong Un, the first face-to-face discussion between the leaders of the US and North Korea in history.

ADAM’S ADMISSION: Schiff Admits Trump Deserves ‘SOME CREDIT’ for Korean Peace

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.30.18

Ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee and fierce anti-Trump advocate Adam Schiff reluctantly admitted this week that President Trump deserves some credit on North Korea; warning the President things may “go south” if he’s not careful.

Schiff was speaking with ABC News when he admitted that the Commander-in-Chief may have driven North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un to the negotiating table; adding the President’s “unpredictability” may have scared the brutal regime.

“Doesn’t the president deserve credit for at least partial credit for what we’re seeing unfold on the Korean peninsula?” asked ABC News’ Jonathan Karl.

“I think it’s more than fair to say that the combination of the president’s unpredictability and indeed his bellicosity had something to do with North Korea’s willingness to come to the table,” Schiff fired-back. “But before the president takes too much credit or hangs out the ‘mission accomplished’ banner, he needs to realize we may go into a confrontational phase, and he may not want the full blame if things go south.”
