DEMS IN DENIAL: Sen. Bill Nelson Files NEW LAWSUIT Over ‘Unconventional’ Ballots

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.14.18

The midterm election madness continued Tuesday night in Florida, with Sen. Bill Nelson filing a new lawsuit over “unconventional ballots” used in his race against Republican Rick Scott.

“The lawsuit, filed in federal court by both Nelson and the Senate Democrats’ campaign arm in Tallahassee, asks a judge to ensure that the Florida Department of State does not disqualify ballots where selections are marked in different ways, so long as the voter’s intention is clear,” writes the Hill.

The lawsuit claims Florida’s Secretary of State may have illegally rejected ballots that “marked a selection in more than one way.”

“The State will incur no burden in counting the votes of voters who clearly indicated their definite choice for Florida’s U.S. Senate race, but may not have done so in the same manner for every race on the ballot or may not have cancelled-out erroneous overvotes using written words,” says the suit according to court filings.

DEMOCRAT DO-OVER? Liberal Senator Urges Activists to ‘Get Down to Florida’ if There’s No Recount

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.08.18

Democrat Senator Chris Murphy urged liberal activists across the country to “adjust their schedules” and “get down to Florida” if Republicans “stop all ballots from being counted.”

Murphy posted his comments on social media after state officials weighed a manual recount after Republican Rick Scott held a slight lead over Democrat Bill Nelson.

“Republicans will try to use the courts to shut down a full recount. Just get ready for this – adjust your schedules bc we may all have to get down to Florida if they try to to use the courts to stop all ballots from being counted,” tweeted the left-wing lawmaker.

The move echoes similar comments from Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum, who demanded that “every vote” be counted and urged supporters to contact their local County Supervisors.

MIDTERM MAYHEM: More ‘Irregularities Surface’ in Florida Recount

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.13.18

More “irregularities” surfaced Tuesday in Florida’s ongoing recount for last week’s highly-contested midterm election, with new reports revealing hurricane-displaced voters were permitted to vote via email -a clear violation of state law.

According to the Associated Press, “Florida’s election recount chugged along Tuesday as more irregularities are uncovered” for the Sunshine State’s Senate and gubernatorial races.

“One county revealed it had allowed some hurricane-displaced voters to cast their ballots by email — a violation of state law. Another had to restart its recount after getting about a quarter finished because someone forgot to push a button,” added the AP.

A White House spokesperson slammed Florida’s handling of the recount; calling the events “incredibly frustrating” and saying, “We’re confident Rick Scott will be the next senator of Florida.”
