EXTREME VETTING: Trump Admin to REVIEW Visitors' SOCIAL MEDIA Profiles

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.29.18

The US Department of State unveiled new guidelines and procedures for tourists visiting the United States this week; demanding incoming individuals hand-over their social media profiles for a detailed security review.

According to the Washington Examiner, the White House is poised to publish its severe crackdown on those seeking to travel to the US for both short and long-term stays; reviewing posts on social media, recent phone calls, and international travel in the previous five years.

“Travelers would also be asked to list previous phone numbers, email addresses and international travel during the previous five years, and to detail any immigration problems they’ve had, whether with the U.S. or elsewhere. They’ll also be asked about potential family connections to terrorism,” writes the Examiner.

“This upgrade to visa vetting is long overdue, and it’s appropriate to apply it to everyone seeking entry, because terrorism is a worldwide problem. The aim is to try to weed out people with radical or dangerous views,” said one security expert at the Center for Immigration Studies.

AMERICA FIRST: DHS Moves Forward on 'Extreme Vetting'

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.13.17

The Department of Homeland Security is moving forward on “extreme vetting” measures for those seeking to enter the United States; unveiling revised procedures on Monday that would require people to undergo in-person interviews before being granted entrance into the nation.

The new guidelines require -for the first time- face-to-face interviews for individuals seeking permanent residence status in the United States. The strict rules will be applied to those already in the US on business visas who are applying to remain in the country, as well as asylum seekers hoping to bring family members to the United States.

“This is the base for building extreme vetting,” said a former employee familiar with the new procedures.

“You can only vet people if you have information, and one of the best ways to get information is to talk to people and then compare that info to objective info you get from other places,” he added. “If you don’t have these interviews you’re missing a fundamental step in the vetting process.”

The President has routinely called for “extreme vetting” for those seeking entry into the United States.

“Those given a high honor of admission to the United States should support this country and love its people and its values,” President Trump said during his speech to Congress earlier this year. “That is why my administration has been working on improved vetting procedures, and we will shortly take new steps to keep our nation safe and to keep those out who would do us harm.”

Trey Gowdy: Democrats are Terrified Trump Dossier is 'Piece of Fiction'

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.01.17

South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy believes liberal lawmakers are terrified the infamous ‘Trump Dossier’ will be revealed to be a total “piece of fiction,” questioning democratic motives as they try and stonewall Congress’s investigation into the debunked document.

Gowdy, a member of the House Intelligence Committee, fired-back at democrats after they accused his committee of trying to “discredit” the dossier at the heart of the liberal Russia-Trump conspiracy theory.

“I don’t know why anyone — from [California Rep.] Adam Schiff, to Vanity Fair, to Rachel Maddow — would not be curious whether or not the world’s premier law enforcement agency relied upon a dossier in connection with an investigation without vetting it,” Gowdy told the Daily Caller.

“For the life of me I don’t understand why they are focused on this […] Unless they are fearful that the bureau did rely on a piece of fiction,” he added. “The investigators on [the Intelligence Committee] have been trying for months to obtain documents about the dossier, but when you get no response, then you go from a polite request, to a firm request to a legal request.”

Gowdy’s comments come as Congressional investigators continue to probe the document; demanding information from former British spy Christopher Steele as well as Fusion GPS, the shady opposition research firm behind the dossier.
