FREEZE TURNS FATAL: At Least Seven Dead as Temps Plummet Across the Midwest

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.30.19

At least seven people have been confirmed dead Wednesday as temperatures plunge to near-record lows across the Midwest; with experts saying the death toll will likely rise as the severe cold lingers across the region.

“Seven people have died this week amid unbearably frigid temperatures and snowy conditions in the Midwest — including a 9-year-old boy and a man who was hit by a city snowplow,” writes the NY Post.

“The bitter polar vortex has caused the mercury to plunge more than 40 degrees below zero in some states, making it extremely dangerous to drive or even go outside,” adds the article.

The severe temperatures descended on the central United States early Tuesday morning as a polar vortex moved into the region from Canada. The frigid weather is expected to last through the end of the week.
