Republican Senator John Cornyn implored Cory Booker to settle down after his most recent anti-Trump meltdown this week; urging the liberal legislator to “get a grip” after he called Justice Kavanaugh supporters “complicit in evil.”
Cornyn was speaking on the Senate floor Wednesday when he called-on Booker to calm down after his recent tirade; adding that “everybody’s trying to out do everybody else.”
“I thought that would pretty much take the cake until I saw a report this morning that one of our colleagues across the aisle said that supporting Judge Kavanaugh would make you ‘complicit in evil,’” said Cornyn.
“It’s hard to take statements like that seriously. It’s completely unhinged and detached from any reality […] My advice to some of our friends across the aisle is get a grip, get a grip,” he added.
CORY BOOKER: If You’re Not ‘DEEPLY DISTURBED’ by Trump You Don’t ‘LOVE’ America
Liberal senator and possible 2020 hopeful Cory Booker lashed-out at Trump supporters Wednesday, telling a packed audience if you’re not “deeply disturbed” by the direction of the country then you don’t “love” America.
Booker was speaking at a liberal rally this week when he slammed GOP voters across the country, bizarrely suggesting if the country “hasn’t broken your heart” then you’re not patriotic enough.
"If this country hasn’t broken your heart, you don’t love her enough,” Sen. Booker says at #WeThePeople18 summit.

“If this country hasn’t broken your heart, you don’t love her enough,” Booker said. “If you’re not deeply disturbed by what’s coming, you got to check your own love.”
“Folks are trying to divide us and cut us up, pin us against each other: poor white folks against poor black folks, poor brown folks against poor black folks,” Booker added. “We need to understand this is one nation, indivisible, with one destiny.”

CORY EXPLODES: Booker BEGS Supporters to ‘GET IN THE FACE’ of GOP Lawmakers
Anti-Trump Senator and potential 2020 candidate Cory Booker exploded during a speaking event Wednesday, urging his supporters to “get up in the face” of GOP lawmakers and those supporting the President.
Booker was speaking at the National Conference on Ending Homelessness when he called-on Democratic activists to “get up and please get up in the face of some Congress people.”
“Before I end, that’s my call to action here. Please don’t just come here today and then go home,” Booker said. “Go to the Hill today. Get up and please get up in the face of some Congress people.”
The Senator’s comments echo similar remarks made by Rep. Maxine Waters just weeks ago, when she called for the public harassment of Trump associates at “department stores” and “restaurants.”
