HANNITY: Every American Should Ask Themselves These THREE QUESTIONS about the ‘Migrant Caravan’

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.27.18

Speaking during his opening monologue on ‘Hannity’ Monday night, Sean weighed-in on the escalating ‘caravan crisis’ taking place along the US-Mexico border; saying there are three fundamental questions every American should be asking themselves in the days ahead.

“Think about these three simple questions: Do we as a constitutional republic, do we have the right to sovereignty? Do you believe in borders? Do you believe we have a right to protect those borders, protect our sovereignty?” asked Hannity.

“For weeks, we’ve been warning about the looming crisis out of the southern border, now at least 5,000 migrants have already arrived in the Mexican border city of Tijuana with thousands more still on the way,” he added.  Now, they are all demanding entry into the U.S., most under an asylum designation.”

“Border security should not be a partisan issue. While most individuals who try to integrate into the U.S., I understand that they come from countries with no opportunities and a lot of poverty. They are good, decent people. They want what we often take for granted. But that’s not always the case.  Bad people constantly trying to gain access into our country,” said Hannity.

CARAVAN CHAOS: Federal Judge BLOCKS Trump’s Asylum Ban at Southern Border

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.20.18

A federal judge in San Francisco abruptly blocked the Trump administration’s crackdown on asylum seekers entering the country through the United States’ southern border Monday night; setting the stage for a potential legal battle that could reach the Supreme Court.

According to Fox News, “U.S. District Judge Jon S. Tigar, who was nominated by President Obama in 2012 to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, issued a temporary restraining order after hearing arguments in San Francisco.”

“Individuals are entitled to asylum if they cross between ports of entry. It couldn’t be clearer,” said one attorney opposed to the Trump administration’s revised guidelines.

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed this week that 70,000 people per year apply for asylum at “ports of entry” across the United States; including border crossings in Arizona, California, and Texas.

Dozens of Central American immigrants were detained by American agents Monday after rushing the US-Mexico border; escalating the high-stakes showdown between the ‘migrant caravan’ and US authorities.

Department of Homeland Security officials confirmed the incident Monday, saying at least 50 individuals were in custody inside the United States after storming the border at San Ysidro, California.

“In Mexico, Tijuana’s municipal government also announced it arrested more than three-dozen migrants for disturbing the peace and other charges related to the crossing attempt. Thousands of migrants have been gathering there after crossing through Mexico in a series of caravans that originated from Central America — and presumably are amongst those who were arrested on both sides of the border,” writes Fox News.

“We will seek to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law anyone who destroys federal property, endangers our frontline operators, or violates our nation’s sovereignty,” said DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.
