The Washington Post slammed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on social media Wednesday, blasting the twice-failed presidential nominee after she posted a thoroughly debunked smear against Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
Clinton’s comments were centered around Kavanaugh’s use of the term “abortion-inducing drugs” in a ruling focused on birth control and religious liberty.
The claim was thoroughly debunked by both Politifact and the Washington Post nearly one week ago.
“6 days later? And after this has been thoroughly debunked by fact-checkers!?” fired back the Post’s senior political reporter.

CLINTON WADES IN: Hillary SOUNDS ALARM over Trump’s Supreme Court Pick
Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton sounded the alarm over Brett Kavanaugh’s potential spot on the Supreme Court Wednesday; slamming the judge in a series of scathing posts on social media.
The former Secretary of State blasted Kavanaugh on Twitter as he faced his second day of Congressional hearings; claiming his nomination would “gut” Roe v. Wade and other women’s rights across the country.
If Brett Kavanaugh becomes a Supreme Court justice, will he help gut or overturn Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion in America? Yes, of course he will.

As a federal judge, Kavanaugh tried to prevent a young undocumented woman in government custody from exercising her right to an abortion.

It's remarkable that we have to keep repeating this, even in 2018: Women's rights are human rights, and human rights are women's rights.

Clinton re-emerged into the national spotlight last month, confirming a series of speaking events in New York, Chicago, and California to help Democrats retake control of Congress this fall.
HILLARY UNHINGED: Clinton Repeats Totally DEBUNKED ATTACK on Brett Kavanaugh
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton repeated a thoroughly debunked attack on Judge Brett Kavanaugh Wednesday, ignoring reports from both Politifact and the Washington Post that called-out the bogus claims.
The drummed-up controversy centered around Kavanaugh’s alleged use of the term “abortion-inducing drugs” while commenting on a case focused on birth control and religious liberty.
“I want to be sure we’re all clear about something that Brett Kavanaugh said in his confirmation hearings last week. He referred to birth-control pills as ‘abortion-inducing drugs.’ That set off a lot of alarm bells for me, and it should for you, too,” tweeted Clinton.

“Did Brett Kavanaugh call birth control abortion-inducing drugs? No,” writes Politifact.
“It’s very clear he’s characterizing their position, which was held by all the Catholic organizations within that set of cases,” said a Justice Department spokesperson. “But even within characterizing their position, if you look at the dissent, it’s still not a blanket description of birth control.”
