HE’S BACK: ISIS Leader RE-EMERGES with First Audio Message in 12 Months

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.23.18

The self-appointed leader of the Islamic State terrorist organization resurfaced Wednesday; releasing a new audio recording for the first time in nearly a year that urged ISIS militants all over the world to “continue fighting” the United States and its allies.

The hour-long tape, titled “Give Glad Tidings to the Patient” was allegedly recorded by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and released by al-Furqan Foundation, the network’s media arm and propaganda center.

“The whereabouts of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and the question of whether he is alive have been a continuing source of mystery and confusion. The group has lost around 90 percent of lands it once controlled in Iraq and Syria, where the group declared a caliphate in June 2014,” writes the New York Post.

In the 54-minute long rant, the terror leader congratulated those who have successfully carried out attacks across the globe; adding “America is going through the worse time in its entire existence”

Al-Baghdadi’s last recording was released in September 2017.

ISIS AMONG US: Former Indiana Resident Charged with ‘SUPPORTING’ the Islamic State

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.23.18

A former Indiana resident was charged with supporting the Islamic State Thursday, with Department of Justice officials confirming the woman aided the terror network between 2014 and 2015.

According to the Washington Examiner, Samantha Elhassani was charged with “conspiring to provide material support to the Islamic State and helping provide material support to the terrorist organization.”

“My office is committed to aggressively pursuing and prosecuting those who support designated terrorist organizations such as ISIS,” said U.S. Attorney Thomas Kirsch. “This indictment is an example of that commitment. The indictment alleges that Elhassani traveled abroad and provided funds and supplies for use by two ISIS fighters. The seriousness of the charges reflect the gravity of Elhassani’s alleged conduct.”

“The charges against Ms. Elhassani illustrate that actions of providing support to ISIS have serious consequences, and should serve as a reminder to American citizens that providing assistance to terrorist organizations or individuals aligned with terrorist entities will not be tolerated,” added the FBI.

The Islamic State claimed responsibility for Thursday’s devastating multiple suicide-bomb attack in the heart of Afghanistan’s capital, killing at least 41 people and injuring nearly 100 at a cultural center in Kabul.

According to the New York Post, ISIS used three suicide bombers to slaughter dozens at a the Shiite Muslim Cultural Center in the center of the city, where hundreds of people gathered to mark the anniversary of the USSR’s invasion of Afghanistan nearly forty years ago.

“We were inside the hall in the second row when an explosion from behind took place,” said a student who was on the scene. “After the blast there was fire and smoke inside the building and everyone was pleading for help.”

Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani addressed the nation a short-time later, calling the suicide-bombings a “crime against humanity.”

“The terrorist have killed our people,” said Ghani. “The terrorists have attacked our mosques, our holy places and now our cultural center.”
