JARRETT: An FBI that is Corrupt and Dishonest -- Latest Reports Offer Only More Proof

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.14.19

Fox News’ Gregg Jarrett weighed-in on the ongoing “endemic” of “dishonesty and corruption” at the Department of Justice Monday; saying new evidence shows just how deep the FBI’s “abuse of power” was following the 2016 election.

“The latest proof comes in a New York Times report that the FBI initiated an investigation in May of 2017 into whether President Donald Trump was serving as a covert Russian agent.  The accusation itself was ludicrous on its face.  But from a legal standpoint, the FBI’s probe constituted an egregious abuse of power.  The Bureau had no probable cause, no evidence, and no reasonable suspicions.  They investigated Trump because they could.  They defied the law, ignored or perverted facts, and debased the integrity of a heretofore-respected law enforcement agency,” writes Jarrett.

“Why did these rogue officials commit such an outrageous act of malfeasance? In a word, vengeance.  Already incensed that Trump had defeated their preferred candidate, Hillary Clinton, they grew furious when the president fired Director James Comey on May 9, 2017,” he adds.

JARRETT: Cohen Guilty Plea DOES NOTHING to Show Wrongdoing by Trump

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.30.18

Fox News’ Gregg Jarrett threw cold-water on the mainstream media’s full-fledged frenzy surrounding Michael Cohen’s guilty plea Thursday, saying his new deal with Robert Mueller does “absolutely nothing” to show any wrongdoing by the President.

“President Trump’s disgraced former personal lawyer Michael Cohen’s guilty plea to lying to Congress about a possible Trump Organization real estate project in Moscow that never materialized is not worth much – except to Cohen,” writes Jarrett.

“Before his newest guilty plea Thursday, Cohen – already a confessed liar and criminal – pleaded guilty in August to violating campaign finance laws, multiple counts of tax evasion and bank fraud dealing with his personal finances,” he adds.

“The double standard should be obvious to all. If you’re a government official without ties to Donald Trump, you can lie, make mistakes or fail to remember things correctly and face no legal consequences. But if you’re a private citizen – especially if you’re connected to Trump – you’ll be threatened with prosecution and the prospect of spending time behind bars,” writes Jarrett.

JARRETT: Mueller STRIKES OUT Trying to Nail Trump, Flynn Memo a ‘Big Nothing’

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.05.18

Fox News’ Gregg Jarrett weighed-in Tuesday night on Robert Mueller’s highly-anticipated memo regarding the sentencing of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn; saying the special counsel’s recommendation turned out to be a ‘big nothing.’

“A sentencing memo that Special Counsel Robert Mueller filed in U.S. District Court in Washington Tuesday recommending little or no prison time for President Trump’s former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn doesn’t implicate the president in any wrongdoing,” writes Jarrett.

“The memo isn’t a ‘smoking gun’ showing President Trump colluded with Russians to win the 2016 presidential election or did anything else illegal. In fact, the memo isn’t even a squirt gun. In terms of President Trump’s conduct, it amounts to nothing of any significance,” he adds.

“Flynn should never have been prosecuted. The FBI agents who interviewed him concluded that he was telling the truth. This was confirmed by both former FBI Director James Comey and his deputy, Andrew McCabe, when they testified before congressional investigators. Had Mueller been forced to prove his case in court, he would have lost,” Jarrett writes.
