Former Governor of Florida and Republican presidential hopeful Jeb Bush slammed Broward County election officials Monday; saying Supervisor Brenda Snipes “failed to comply” with state regulations and must be removed from office.
Bush unloaded on Snipes with a scathing tweet just hours after Florida’s election recount was officially underway, writing “There is no question that Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes failed to comply with Florida law on multiple counts, undermining Floridians’ confidence in our electoral process. Supervisor Snipes should be removed from her office following the recounts.”

Snipes’ leadership has come under fire in recent days over a series of decisions that overtly ignored Florida’s constitution and election guidelines; throwing key results from the 2018 midterms into question less than one week after voters went to the polls.
DEMOCRAT DO-OVER? Liberal Senator Urges Activists to ‘Get Down to Florida’ if There’s No Recount
Democrat Senator Chris Murphy urged liberal activists across the country to “adjust their schedules” and “get down to Florida” if Republicans “stop all ballots from being counted.”
Murphy posted his comments on social media after state officials weighed a manual recount after Republican Rick Scott held a slight lead over Democrat Bill Nelson.
“Republicans will try to use the courts to shut down a full recount. Just get ready for this – adjust your schedules bc we may all have to get down to Florida if they try to to use the courts to stop all ballots from being counted,” tweeted the left-wing lawmaker.

The move echoes similar comments from Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum, who demanded that “every vote” be counted and urged supporters to contact their local County Supervisors.

Scott announced the move on social media Sunday, writing “We’ve filed emergency motions and complaints in Broward and Palm Beach counties to ensure that we continue to do everything possible to prevent fraud and ensure this recount is operated responsibly.”
