LAUER’S TURN: Newsweek CLAIMS LAUER Cost Hillary 2016 Election

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.04.17

Liberal magazine Newsweek still can’t accept the results of the 2016 election; claiming in a bizarre article that Matt Lauer’s “sexist debate moderation” tilted the race towards Donald Trump.

The left-leaning outlet published the outrageous article Friday, titled “Matt Lauer Questioned Hillary Clinton’s Judgment During Sexist Debate Moderation,” arguing that the disgraced NBC anchor’s attitude towards Clinton swayed voters away from the former Secretary of State.

“Lauer moderated the Commander-in-Chief forum, grilling then-presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, but some viewers thought he pressed Clinton too hard on her email scandal rather than overseeing the promised discussion about national security issues,” writes the author.

“The insistence on discussing her emails continued throughout the forum, and Lauer spent a full third of Clinton’s allotted time talking about the controversy,” she added.

Hillary mentioned the debate herself in her recently released memoir, saying she was “ticked off” over Lauer’s questions.

“Lauer had turned what should have been a serious discussion into a pointless ambush. What a waste of time,” writers Clinton.

The former NBC icon was abruptly fired Wednesday morning, following an overnight meeting between network executives and the lawyer of a woman accusing Lauer of sexual assault. The anchor released a statement on Thursday, saying “enough” of the allegations were true, and he was deeply “ashamed.”
