LIBERAL LOGIC: Website Complains There are More Golf Courses in the US than Migrants in Tijuana

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.14.18

Digital magazine Buzzfeed published a bizarre article this week that strangely compared the number of golf courses in the United States with members of the ‘migrant caravan’ waiting in Tijuana.

The story, titled “America Has 14,000 Golf Courses And 6,000 Refugees Waiting at The Border,” claims the “The United States is a land of plenty, not scarcity — and undocumented immigrants are not the reason our hospitals and social services are crumbling.”

“One illustration of the country’s wealth is the number of golf courses it boasts. There are, astoundingly, 14,794 golf courses in the United States, according to the National Golf Foundation — more than twice the number of the roughly 6,000 individuals currently in Tijuana seeking asylum,” adds the author.

“Yes, there are enough golf courses in the United States for every adult and child asylum-seeker in Tijuana to have their own entire course — and there would still be nearly 9,000 left over,” claims the article.

BORDER BREACHED: Central American Migrants ‘Trickling’ into the United States from Tijuana

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.10.18

A “steady trickle” of Central American immigrants traveling with the ‘migrant caravan’ are slowly entering the United States illegally across the southern border; eventually turning themselves over to federal agents rather than wait for months in Mexico.

According to the Associated Press, “A steady trickle of Central American migrants have been finding ways to climb over, tunnel under or slip through the U.S. border wall to plant their feet on U.S. soil and ask for asylum.”

The migrants breached the US-Mexico border with the hopes of avoiding months of wait times as thousands apply for asylum at American Port of Entry across the region.

“But by word of mouth, some have realized they can simply cross into U.S. territory, largely uninhibited by Mexican authorities. In twos or threes — occasionally by the dozen — they arrive at the border wall and manage to get over. Often within minutes, border officers quickly arrive to escort them to detention centers and begin ‘credible fear” interviews,’ adds the AP.

The revelation comes just days after Sen. Ted Cruz introduced legislation that would allocate upwards of $25 billion for President Trump’s signature campaign promise: The border wall.

BORDER BREACHED: ‘Frustrated’ Migrants ‘Breach’ US-Mexico Border

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.04.18

‘Frustrated’ members of the Central American ‘migrant caravan’ began ‘breaching’ the US-Mexican border this week; jumping a ten-foot tall fence in a last-ditch effort to reach the United States before returning to their country of origin.

According to Newsweek, an undisclosed number of immigrants illegally crossed into the country at the border crossing near San Diego, California.

“On Monday, a number of the asylum seekers who had been waiting in the Mexican border town of Tijuana to make their asylum claims climbed over the border fence, despite being almost certain to face detention by U.S. authorities on the other side,” writes Newsweek.

The Trump administration’s fierce crackdown on the ‘migrant caravan’ has caused the 6,000-strong group to stall in Tijuana, Mexico; with many choosing to return home rather than wait months for their asylum claims to be processed by American authorities.

The President has repeatedly threatened to “completely close” the entire southern border should the crisis escalate.
