LIBERAL MELTDOWN: Media Equates Russian Election Meddling to PEARL HARBOR, 9/11

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.17.18

The mainstream media’s full-fledged assault against the Trump White House was on full display Monday, with one major news outlet equating Russian hacking of the US election system in 2016 with Pearl Harbor and the 9/11 terror attacks.

Popular news website Politico published a scathing article Monday titled, “Putin’s Attack on the US is Our Pearl Harbor,” claiming the Kremlin’s cyber-attack on the US election system was on the same scale as the surprise Japanese assault on Pearl Harbor at the onset of World War II.

“Many think of Pearl Harbor and September 11th in terms of the overwhelming devastation the attacks caused rather than the critical transformation they sparked. Yet both attacks were earth-shaking events that forced a forward leap in our strategic thinking about the defense of the American homeland and the projection of American power,” writes Politico.

“In 2016, our country was targeted by an attack that had different operational objectives and a different overarching strategy, but its aim was every bit as much to devastate the American homeland as Pearl Harbor or 9/11,” adds the website.

The stunning comments come as President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin held high-level talks in Helsinki Monday; focusing on counter-terrorism and international cooperation in the Syrian civil war.

HELSINKI HUDDLE: Trump and Putin Meet Face-to-Face in Historic Summit

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.16.18

President Trump met Russian President Vladimir Putin behind closed doors in Helsinki Monday; discussing a wide range of issues including Syria, terrorism, and allegations of Kremlin-influenced meddling during the 2016 race for the White House.

According to Fox News, the two leaders huddled in Finland as the President predicted an “extraordinary relationship” with Putin.

“I think we will end up having an extraordinary relationship,” Trump said, sitting next to Putin at the presidential palace in Helsinki. “Getting along with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing.”

“The president met with Putin after sparring for the better part of the past week with traditional U.S. allies — first with NATO nations over their levels of defense spending, and later with British Prime Minister Theresa May over her ‘Brexit’ strategy, though he seemed to patch things up before leaving London,” writes Fox.

The meeting comes just days after Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced a new string of indictments against 12 Russian agents over their “hacking” of the 2016 race.

BREAKING: Rosenstein Indicts 12 RUSSIAN AGENTS for ‘Hacking’ 2016 Election

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.13.18

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced Friday that the Department of Justice has indicted an additional 12 Russian agents for “hacking” the 2016 presidential race for the White House.

“A federal grand jury has indicted 12 Russian intelligence officers for allegedly hacking the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign during the 2016 election,” writes Fox News. “All 12 are members of GRU, the Russian intelligence agency.”

Rosenstein’s announcement comes as President Trump wraps up his two-day visit with British Prime Minister Theresa May and Queen Elizabeth II, heading to Helsinki next week to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The indictments follow a previous string of charges earlier this year when the DOJ accused 13 Russian agents and three foreign companies of meddling in the 2016 election.
