MADURO’S VICTIMS: Venezuelans Send Powerful Message to Pro-Socialist Americans

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.07.19

The victims of Venezuela’s brutal socialist regime sent a powerful message to Democrats across the country Thursday; warning them of the devastating dangers posed by the deadly ideology.

“Wanting to know if the people who support socialism had ever heard from people who’ve suffered under it, Campus Reform‘s Cabot Phillips headed to a Venezuelan Freedom rally in Washington, D.C.,” writes Campus Reform.

“You do not ever want anything close to socialism,” said one attendee. “People are eating from trash cans in the streets, so how has socialism helped?”

“No Venezuelan can like socialism, because we’ve seen it put in place very well,” said another.

LETHAL LEGACY: Venezuela Marks 20 Years Since the Rise of Socialist Hugo Chavez

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.06.18

Venezuela’s starving citizens continued their struggle to survive under the socialist regime’s total failure to stem the financial crisis this week; marking roughly 20 years since Hugo Chavez’ rise to power in the once-rich nation.

“On 6 December 1998, Hugo Chávez proclaimed a new dawn of social justice and people power. ‘Venezuela’s resurrection is under way and nothing and nobody can stop it,’” writes the Guardian. “Two decades on, those dreams are in tatters.”

“The comandante is dead and his revolution in intensive care as economic, political and social chaos engulf what was once one of Latin America’s most prosperous societies. Almost 10% of Venezuela’s 31 million-strong population have fled overseas; of those who remain, nearly 90% live in poverty,” adds the author.

Stunning statistics released earlier this year show approximately 80% of Venezuelans struggle to find food on a daily basis; with two million citizens leaving the country since the collapse began in 2016.

MADURO MAYHEM: Europeans Recognize Venezuela’s Opposition Leader as ‘Interim President’

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.04.19

President Trump’s diplomatic push to have European nations and others recognize Juan Guaido as Venezuela’s Interim President made major inroads Monday, with America’s allies officially throwing their support behind the opposition leader.

Sixteen European countries -such as the United Kingdom, Spain, Poland, France, and Germany- joined the United States after Nicolas Maduro’s regime failed to reach a deadline for internationally-monitored elections in the face of a mounting economic and political crisis.

“We encourage all countries, including other EU member states, to support the Venezuelan people by recognizing Interim President Guaido and supporting the National Assembly’s efforts to return constitutional democracy to Venezuela,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Monday afternoon.

Italy formally rebuked their European allies hours after releasing the statement, with Italian officials saying “We absolutely oppose the fact that a country or a group of third countries can determine the internal policies of another country.”
