Melania Trump arrived at the US-Mexico border in Arizona Thursday afternoon, kicking off a regional visit to view detention centers housing migrants and their families.
According to Fox News, the First Lady’s visit comes as Democrats and a growing list of liberal lawmakers pledge to abolish the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, claiming the department was “tearing at the fabric” of American society.
“The visit comes a week after Mrs. Trump traveled to the border town of McAllen, Texas, to meet with officials there dealing with detained families. She also met with children at one of the facilities,” writes Fox. “But that trip was overshadowed by a jacket the first lady wore to and from Texas that said on the back: ‘I really don’t care, do u?’”
Just this week, liberal activists attempted to “shut down” ICE headquarters in Washington, DC; urging workers inside to “Quit their jobs” in protest of “family separations” along the US-Mexico border.

MELANIA’S MOMENT: First Lady Unveils ‘Be Best’ Campaign for Children
First Lady Melania Trump officially announced her new campaign to help America’s youth face critical issues earlier Monday; unveiling her ‘Be Best’ initiative during a ceremony at the White House.
Mrs. Trump outlined her new proposals during an address from the Rose Garden, where she discussed her ongoing campaign to help promote the “physical, social, and emotional” health of children.
“It concerns me that in today’s fast-paced and ever-connected world, children can be less prepared to express or manage their emotions and often times turn to forms of destructive or addictive behavior such as bullying, drug addiction, or even suicide,” Trump said. “I feel strongly that as adults we can and should be best at educating our children about a healthy and balanced life.”
President Trump was on hand for the event and signed a ‘Be Best’ proclamation, marking May 7th as ‘Be Best Day.’
“When children learn positive online behaviors early on, social media can be used in productive ways and can affect positive change,” she concluded. “I do believe that children should be both seen and heard, and it is our responsibility as adults to educate and remind them that when they are using their voices — whether verbally or online — they must choose their words wisely and speak with respect and compassion.”
