MELANIA’S MESSAGE: The First Lady Thanks Immigration Agents During Texas Tour

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.21.18

The First Lady toured an immigration detention facility in Texas Thursday, speaking with workers and reporters and thanking them for “their hard work and compassion” during “difficult times.”

Melania Trump visited the region to get a “first-hand look” at the escalating crisis taking place along the United States’ southern border with Mexico, saying she was there “to learn about the facilities.”

“We all know they are here without their families, and I want to thank you for your hard work, your compassion, and your kindness you’re giving them in these difficult times,” said the First Lady.

“I’m here to learn about your facility, which I know you have children on a long-term basis. I’d also like to ask how I can help these children reunite with their families. Thanks again for all that you do,” added Mrs. Trump.

MELANIA’S MOMENT: First Lady Unveils ‘Be Best’ Campaign for Children

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.07.18

First Lady Melania Trump officially announced her new campaign to help America’s youth face critical issues earlier Monday; unveiling her ‘Be Best’ initiative during a ceremony at the White House.

Mrs. Trump outlined her new proposals during an address from the Rose Garden, where she discussed her ongoing campaign to help promote the “physical, social, and emotional” health of children.

“It concerns me that in today’s fast-paced and ever-connected world, children can be less prepared to express or manage their emotions and often times turn to forms of destructive or addictive behavior such as bullying, drug addiction, or even suicide,” Trump said. “I feel strongly that as adults we can and should be best at educating our children about a healthy and balanced life.”

President Trump was on hand for the event and signed a ‘Be Best’ proclamation, marking May 7th as ‘Be Best Day.’

“When children learn positive online behaviors early on, social media can be used in productive ways and can affect positive change,” she concluded. “I do believe that children should be both seen and heard, and it is our responsibility as adults to educate and remind them that when they are using their voices — whether verbally or online — they must choose their words wisely and speak with respect and compassion.”

COST CUTTER: Melania SLASHES Michelle's 'Bloated' First Lady Payroll

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.14.17

First Lady Melania Trump managed to slash the staff and budget of her predecessor’s entourage by more than 50% since President Trump took office; maintaining a busy schedule on a significantly reduced payroll.

According to Fox News, the First Lady drastically reduced her office’s budget when compared to Michelle Obama’s massive entourage during her eight years in the White House. As of June, Melania’s staff had just four people on her payroll with salaries totaling $486,700.

During the same time of former President Obama’s first year in office, then-First Lady Michelle Obama had a whopping 16 staffers on her payroll, shelling out $1.24 million to her workers.

Melania Trump’s spokesperson insists the decision was intentional, praising the First Lady for being “deliberate in her hiring” and focusing on “quality over quantity.”

“As with all things that she does, she is being very deliberate in her hiring, focusing on quality over quantity,” said communications director Stephanie Grisham. “It is important to her that the team is a good fit for what she wants to accomplish as first lady, and that everyone works well together. She also wants to be mindful and responsible when it comes to taxpayer money.”
