‘MUTINY’: Venezuela ‘Puts Down’ Uprising from Rogue National Guard Faction

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.21.19

Venezuela’s socialist regime successfully “put down” a potential “mutiny” from a rogue national guard unit Monday; saying the government neutralized a “treasonous” faction that sought to remove President Nicolas Maduro from power.

“Venezuela’s government said Monday it put down a mutiny by a National Guard unit in a poor neighborhood a few miles (kilometers) from Venezuela’s presidential palace,” writes the Associated Press.

“The uprising triggered protests in the same neighborhood, which were dispersed with tear gas as residents set fire to a street barricade of trash and chanted demands that President Nicolas Maduro leave power,” adds the article.

“You asked to take to the streets to defend the constitution, well here we are,” said an anonymous video posted on social media. “You wanted us to light the fuse, so we did. We need your support.”

ANOTHER TERM: Venezuela’s Socialist President Sworn-in for SECOND SIX-Year Term

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.10.19

Venezuela’s socialist President Nicolas Maduro was sworn-in for his second six-year term Thursday; sparking outrage from world leaders and local activists demanding the brutal leader resign from office.

“Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro was being sworn in to a second term Thursday amid international calls for him to step down and a devastating economic crisis, but with some long-time friends in attendance both from abroad and at home,” writes the Associated Press.

“A dozen Latin American governments and Canada in a coalition have rejected the legitimacy of Maduro’s next term, and Washington has sanctioned top officials in his government,” adds the article.

Venezuela’s crumbling economy has forced millions to flee the socialist country, where recent polling shows upwards of 80% of the population struggle to find food on a daily basis.

MAN OF THE PEOPLE: Venezuela’s Maduro Dines on $100 Steak, Smokes Cigars as Nation Starves

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.18.18

Venezuelan Socialist President Nicolas Maduro was caught on camera eating a $100 steak and smoking lavish cigars during a recent trip to Asia; infuriating millions of starving residents struggling with a collapsing economy and vanishing food supplies.

According to Bloomberg, images of Maduro dining at a famous steak restaurant in Turkey went viral on social media within minutes. The socialist president was traveling back from China where he sought aid for his impoverished nation.

“Maduro visited Nusr-Et, known for its $100 rib-eye, after making an official trip to China in hopes of securing financing for cash-strapped Venezuela. In videos posted by Nusret to Twitter and Instagram, Maduro is seen eating steak next to his wife, Cilia Flores, while also holding a cigar and trying on a t-shirt depicting Nusret, also known as Salt Bae and famous for how he prepares and seasons steaks,” writes Bloomberg.

Venezuela is struggling to clampdown on a devastating financial crisis. Recent reports say nearly 79% of the nation’s residents are unable to “feed themselves” on a daily basis.
