Rep. Jim Jordan issued a stark challenge to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi Monday; daring the left-wing lawmaker to sponsor legislation that would “take down” the existing border wall between San Diego and Tijuana.
“If @SpeakerPelosi thinks the border security wall is immoral, then why doesn’t she sponsor legislation to take down the existing wall between San Diego and Tijuana?” he asked.

Pelosi has routinely slammed President Trump’s border wall as “immoral” and unnecessary; saying any budget that funded the Commander-in-Chief’s proposal would be a “non-starter” for congressional Democrats.
BORDER WALL NOW: Tell Congress to Fully Fund President Trump’s BORDER WALL Now
Congressional Democrats refused to budge on national security and the President’s proposed border wall this week; digging-in as countless Americans demand left-wing legislators take action and secure the United States’ southern border with Mexico.
“President Donald Trump is fighting to build a wall to keep us safe, but Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi are standing in the way. Enough with the partisan games. It’s time for Congress to do its job to protect our communities and support our law enforcement,” writes Border Wall Now, a group that recently launched an online petition demanding action from our lawmakers.
“Please support President Trump’s effort to fund the wall by signing the national ‘Border Wall Now’ petition. If we want to stop the Democrats from playing politics instead of protecting Americans, we need to build a grassroots army that sends them a message,” writes the organization.

BUDGET SHOWDOWN: Trump Summons GOP Leaders to White House over Border Wall
President Trump summoned congressional Republicans to the White House Thursday afternoon; throwing a major “roadblock” in their efforts to pass a “stopgap” budget deal that doesn’t include funding for his border wall.
“A potential deal on Capitol Hill to avert a government shutdown with a short-term spending measure hit a roadblock Thursday as the White House said President Trump ‘does not want to go further’ with anything that does not include sought-after funding for border security,” writes Fox News.
“The president is having a meeting with Republican House members at noon today,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement. “At this moment, the president does not want to go further without border security, which includes steel slats or a wall. The president is continuing to weigh his options.”
Congress must pass a budget by Friday evening or the government will immediately “shutdown” until an agreement could be reached.
