Democratic presidential hopeful Kamala Harris backtracked from her fiery healthcare rhetoric Tuesday evening; confirming she was open to “moderate reforms” after calling for the total “elimination” of private insurance companies across the United States.
“She would also be open to the more moderate health reform plans, which would preserve the industry,” said one Harris’ political advisor.

The outspoken Senator came under fire from other likely liberal candidates -including Michael Bloomberg and Howard Schultz- for her universal healthcare plan; saying the program would likely “bankrupt” the country for years to come.
KAMALACARE? Sen. Harris Calls for ‘Elimination’ of Private Health Insurance Across US
California Senator and 2020 presidential candidate Kamala Harris stunned audience members at a CNN town hall event Monday evening; bizarrely suggesting the US medical system would be better off without private health insurance companies.
Harris was speaking alongside CNN’s Jake Tapper when she was asked if she would support a ‘Medicare for All’ system throughout the United States.
In which Jake asks Kamala Harris whether people would be able to keep their private insurance, if they prefer, under Medicare For All system — and she rejects that. "Let's eliminate all of that. Let's move on." pic.twitter.com/A1AY2TOT4g

“Well, listen, the idea is that everyone gets access to medical care. And you don’t have to go through the process of going through an insurance company, having them give you approval, going through the paperwork, all of the delay that may require,” Harris told Tapper.
“Let’s eliminate all of that. Let’s move on,” she added.
BORN TO RUN: Kamala Harris Takes the TOP SPOT as Potential 2020 Challenger
Hyper-liberal Senator and anti-Trump crusader Kamala Harris emerged this week as the “betting favorite” to take-on President Trump in 2020; surpassing Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden to lead the Democratic ticket.
According to SF Gate, online betting websites Oddshark and Oddschecker have Harris emerging as the most likely candidate; scoring 9/2 odds of winning the Democratic primary heading into the 2020 election.
“Oddschecker, a site that compares odds across a number of prominent betting sites, also found that Harris consistently receives better odds than her Democratic counterparts,” writes SF Gate. “The site gives Kamala Harris 9/2 odds to win the Democratic nomination, followed by Joe Biden with 11/2 odds.”
Sen. Harris has so-far refused to confirm whether she plans a potential run for the White House, but has said she’s “considering it” in the face of President Trump’s policies on immigration, the economy, and North Korea.
