NO COLLUSION: House Intel Committee VOTES to SHUT DOWN Russia Probe

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.22.18

The House Intelligence Committee voted along party lines Thursday to officially end its months-long investigation into Russian election interference; clearing a key hurdle in releasing its 250-page report to the American people.

According to those familiar with the documents; the report claims the committee found no evidence the Trump campaign or his senior associates colluded with any foreign officials throughout the 2016 race for the White House.

The Committee will publish its report once cleared by the intelligence community to ensure the material doesn’t include classified or sensitive material.

The panel also concludes that while there was no evidence of collusion, Russia was involved in sowing disagreement and chaos throughout the election cycle; using social media and other technology platforms to manipulate American voters.

Ranking Democrat on the Committee Rep. Adam Schiff blasted the move to shut down the investigation, saying Republicans “fail to see anything but innocent happenstance in these events.”

The findings comes as new questions emerge over the staggering amount of leaks that plagued the House’s Russia investigation; including reports the leakers may have “endangered national security.”

“The committee’s findings revealed that classified leaks alleging the Trump campaign may have colluded with Russia dramatically increased after the election and some of those leaks ‘correlate to specific language found in the Intelligence Community Assessment,’ which had not been released at that time,” writes Sara Carter.

FISA FALLOUT: Devin Nunes DEMANDS ANSWERS Over FBI’s Use of ‘Trump Dossier’

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.20.18

House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes is demanding answers over the DOJ’s use of the infamous ‘Trump Dossier’ to obtain FISA warrants against the Trump campaign; sending more than a dozen scathing letters to US officials requesting information about the debunked document.

According to the Daily Caller, Nunes fired-off more at least thirteen letters to current and former officials familiar with the incident, submitting multiple questions over the bureau’s use of the Steele dossier in FISA court applications against former Trump advisor Carter Page.

The crux of the letters centers on whether Steele’s identity -and his connections to both Hillary Clinton and the DNC- was revealed in the FISA applications, or whether that information was concealed from judges presiding over the case.

“If you do not provide timely answers on a voluntary process, the Committee will initiate compulsory process,” Schiff warned.

The letters come as Congressional investigators struggle to determine whether Christopher Steele’s Clinton-financed dossier was used to obtain FISA warrants in the run-up to the 2016 presidential race.

FISA FALLOUT: Nunes Says FBI ‘CLEARLY VIOLATED’ Protocol in Using ‘Trump Dossier’

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.02.18

Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes sent a scathing letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions Thursday; informing the Department of Justice that the FBI was in “clear violation” of protocol when it used the ‘Trump Dossier’ to obtain FISA warrants.

Nunes letter claims the bureau’s use of the “unverified” Clinton-financed document was a violation of the agency’s policy of only relying on “documented and verified” material when submitting FISA applications involving American citizens.

According to the Daily Caller, Nunes also believes officials inside the Department of Justice may have broken the law in their handling of the Christopher Steele-authored document.

“The accuracy of information contained within FISA applications is of utmost importance,” says the DOJ’s official guidelines in obtaining warrants to surveil Americans. “Only documented and verified information may be used to support FBI applications [FISA] to the court [FISC].”

Nunes’ letter comes as former Deputy Director McCabe is under fire over recent revelations he was responsible for leaking information to the press regarding Hillary Clinton’s email probe; raising serious questions over the bureau’s involvement in the 2016 presidential election.
