A new poll released by Morning Consult is throwing cold-water on celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti’s 2020 ambitions; showing approximately 0% of Democrats want him to be their party’s nominee against President Trump.
The stunning survey shows former Vice President Joe Biden leading the field with 26%, Senator Bernie Sanders with 19%, and Texas Democrat Beto O’Rourke with 8%.
Rounding out the bottom of the list with no support is former Attorney General Eric Holder and Michael Avenatti; each with 0%.
“Zero percent of Democrats said their first choice for president was former Attorney General Eric Holder, former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, Stormy Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti or Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.), who back in July 2017 was first to declare his candidacy for the party’s nomination,” writes Morning Consult.

“I think a lot of people underestimate me,” Avenatti told POLITICO. “I’m battle-tested, unlike some of the other likely candidates. They’re not tough enough. … If you put them in a kinder, gentler time; or against someone else? They’d be great. They’d be better than me. But they don’t have a chance in hell against Donald Trump.”
