The Alabama-born woman who joined the Islamic State in Syria and now wishes to return to the United States refused to discuss her previous comments where she urged terrorists to “spill the blood” of Americans during national holidays and celebrations.
Hoda Muthana -commonly referred to as the ‘ISIS Wife’- was speaking with NBC News when she was asked to comment on tweets she posted that called for mass terror attacks on American parades and symbolic events.
“There’s one tweet in particular where you called on Americans to do drive-by shootings. To rent a truck and drive over people spilling their blood; you say Memorial Day, Veterans Day, go out and do it,” said NBC’s Richard Engel.

“It was an ideology that was just a phase,” said Muthana.
DEM SENATOR: Trump Admin Should Allow ‘ISIS WIFE’ Back to US to Face Justice System
Alabama Democratic Senator Doug Jones weighed-in over the weekend on the alleged ‘ISIS wife’ and her family’s request to return to the United States; saying the Islamic State sympathizer should be brought back to the US to stand trial.
“While I certainly understand the initial reaction to prohibit Hoda Muthana from coming back to the United States, I am concerned that allowing anyone who has committed crimes against the people of this country to remain beyond the reach of our justice system is the wrong approach and sends the wrong message,” Jones said Sunday.
“My view is that she should absolutely be brought to justice for inciting violence against Americans. Doing so would send a powerful message that any American who lends support to a terrorist organization will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law,” he added.
President Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo denied Muthana’s request last week; saying she is no longer an American citizen.

FAMILY TIES: Father of ‘ISIS WIFE’ Sues Trump, Pompeo to Allow Her to Return to US
The father of the Alabama-born ‘ISIS wife’ hoping to return to the United States is suing the Trump administration to allow his daughter to come back to the country, reports Fox News.
“The father of the Alabama woman begging to be let back into the U.S. after leaving years ago to join ISIS is now launching a legal campaign against President Trump, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Attorney General William Barr,” writes Fox.
Legal representatives from the Constitutional Law Center for Muslims in America filed a lawsuit on behalf of Ahmed Muthana -father of Hoda Muthana- claiming her U.S. citizenship should be recognized despite her defection to the Islamic State.
