NY TIMES TO HILLARY: Stop ‘Distracting’ from Democrats’ Midterm Message

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.19.18

A member of the New York Times Editorial Board offered some harsh advice to twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton this week; urging the former Secretary of State to stop “distracting” from the 2018 midterm elections.

The article, titled “Hillary Clinton’s Master Class in Distraction” slammed the senior Obama official for derailing the Democrats’ midterm message just weeks before voters head to the polls to decide the direction of America.

“In these furious, final days before the midterms, Democratic candidates need to be laser focused on their message to voters. They need to be talking health care and jobs and other issues of intense, personal concern to their electorate. They do not need to be talking about impeachment, or about the results of Senator Elizabeth Warren’s DNA testing. And they definitely do not need to get distracted by unnecessary drama generated by comments from one of the party’s most iconic, and most controversial, figures,” writes the Times’ Michelle Cottle.

“Unfortunately, it took Mrs. Clinton less than a week to come up with an even juicier midterm gift for Trump & Company. In a sit-down with ‘CBS Sunday Morning,’ she was asked several pointed questions about her husband’s Oval Office dalliance with Monica Lewinsky,” she adds.

A THIRD TIME? Top Clinton Aide Says Hillary May Run in 2020

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.19.18

A former Hillary Clinton campaign staffer raised eyebrows throughout the Democratic Party this week; suggesting the former Secretary of State may be mulling a potential rematch against President Trump in the 2020 race for the White House.

According to The Week, Philippe Reines -a senior aide dating back to 2002 and top advisor at the State Department- refused to rule out Hillary’s potential third run for the Oval Office; claiming no other Democrat has “anywhere near a base of 32 million people.”

“The party, he feels, shouldn’t dismiss her as a failed candidate because she’s ‘smarter’ and ‘tougher’ than most, and she ‘could raise money easier than most,’” adds the author.

“Publicly, Clinton has said she will not run again, but Reines doesn’t sound so sure she’ll keep her word on that. Politico explored Clinton’s careful re-entry into the political arena, noting that she’s going on tour with former President Bill Clinton this fall and has reportedly even called up journalists who cover the White House to put out ‘the occasional feeler,’” writes The Week.

ANOTHER EXCUSE: Politico Blames Hillary's ELECTION DISASTER On... Local Newspapers?

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.09.18

Online magazine Politico achieved the impossible this weekend, finding a completely new excuse for Hillary Clinton’s surprise defeat to Donald Trump in November 2016; this time blaming “newspaper subscriptions” for the electoral landslide.

Politico published an article Sunday titled, “Trump thrives in areas that lack traditional news outlets,” suggesting the President was able to “Swamp Clinton” in areas that had low subscription rates to local newspapers.

The data suggests those voters relied on national news outlets and social media for information instead of more traditional media outlets such as newspapers and local television reports.

“President Donald Trump’s attacks on the mainstream media may be rooted in statistical reality: An extensive review of subscription data and election results shows that Trump outperformed the previous Republican nominee, Mitt Romney, in counties with the lowest numbers of news subscribers, but didn’t do nearly as well in areas with heavier circulation,” writes the author.

“The results show a clear correlation between low subscription rates and Trump’s success in the 2016 election, both against Hillary Clinton and when compared to Romney in 2012,” adds the article.
