OMAR EXPLODES: Rep. Ilhan Omar Says She ‘Chuckles’ When Americans Call Israel a ‘Democracy’
Recently sworn-in Congresswoman Ilhan Omar found herself in hot-water Thursday over renewed accusations of anti-Semitism; saying she routinely “chuckles” when Americans refer to Israel as a Democracy.
Omar was speaking during a recent interview when she was asked to comment on her previous comments that the Jewish State has “hypnotized the world.”
“We still uphold it as a democracy in the Middle East I almost chuckle because I know that if we see that any other society we would criticize it, call it out,” said Omar. “We do that to Iran, we do that to any other place that sort of upholds its religion. And I see that now happening with Saudi Arabia and so I am aggravated, truly, in those contradictions.”

“We have to always be willing to step back and think through criticism, just as I expect people to hear me when others attack me for my identity. That is why I unequivocally apologize,” she posted.
