ON THE MOVE: 'Migrant Caravan' Ignores Trump’s Warning, Heads Towards USA

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.17.18

The ‘migrant caravan’ making its way through Central America ignored President Trump’s stern warning this week; heading towards the United States’ southern border with Mexico despite being told they will not be admitted into the country.

According to Fox News, the caravan of approximately 2,000 migrants arrived in Guatemala Wednesday; covering 30 miles per day as they make their way towards the border crossing in Tijuana, Mexico.

“The group’s numbers have snowballed since about 160 migrants departed Friday from the Honduran city of San Pedro Sula, with many people joining spontaneously while carrying just a few belongings. The migrants, who are fleeing widespread poverty and violence, hope traveling en masse affords them protection from robbery, assault and other dangers that plague many on the journey north,” writes Fox.

“We have today informed the countries of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador that if they allow their citizens, or others, to journey through their borders and up to the United States, with the intention of entering our country illegally, all payments made to them will STOP (END)!” tweeted President Trump Tuesday evening.

CARAVAN CRISIS: Trump Threatens to Cut Honduras Aid Over ‘Growing’ Migrant Caravan

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.16.18

President Donald Trump warned Honduras Tuesday that his administration is prepared to cut aid to the Central American country should they fail to crack down on a second migrant caravan making its way towards the United States’ southern border.

“The United States has strongly informed the President of Honduras that if the large Caravan of people heading to the U.S. is not stopped and brought back to Honduras, no more money or aid will be given to Honduras, effective immediately!” tweeted the President.

The second caravan this year reached 3,000 migrants and continued to grow as more workers joined fellow asylum seekers along the Honduras-Guatemala border.

“The impoverished nations of Central America, from which thousands of migrants have fled in recent years, are under mounting pressure from Trump’s administration to do more to curb mass migration,” reports Reuters.

BORDER CHAOS: Second 'Migrant Caravan' Makes its Way Towards US Border

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.15.18

A second migrant caravan encompassing thousands of Central American workers slowly made its way towards the United States’ southern border with Mexico this week; setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown with the Trump administration and immigration officials.

“The caravan formed a day after Vice President Mike Pence met with the presidents of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador in Washington, where he offered economic development assistance in exchange for tighter controls on gang violence and migration. Pence also called on the Central American leaders to warn their citizens against trying to cross the U.S. border,” writes the Daily Caller.

“Tell your people — don’t put your families at risk by taking the dangerous journey north to attempt to enter the United States illegally,” said the Vice President during the meeting.

The caravan marks the second gathering of Central American migrants heading towards the United States this year.

A similar group attempted to enter the US last April but were rejected by immigration authorities at checkpoints near Tijuana, Mexico.
