ONE STEP CLOSER: Bernie Says ‘I’m Thinking of Running’ in 2020

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.26.18

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders took another step closer to confirming his second bid for the White House Monday; saying he was “thinking of running” against President Trump in the 2020 election.

Sanders was speaking with ‘The View’ Monday morning when he was asked if he would consider another push for the Democratic Party’s nomination in the coming months.

“Look, I would not be honest with you if I didn’t say I’m thinking of running,” Sanders confirmed. “And also there are other great candidates out there, many of them personal friends of mine. But I think what is most important right now is that Trump be defeated, his hateful rhetoric and his divisiveness end, and that we as a nation come together respectfully.”

BERNIE 2020? Sanders Says He 'MAY RUN' Against Donald Trump in 2020

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.30.18

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders raised eyebrows throughout Democratic circles this week; saying the “simple truth” is that he hasn’t “made the decision” on whether he plans to take on President Trump in the 2020 race for the White House.

Sanders was speaking at a candidates forum when he was asked if he was prepared to “pledge” to serve a six-year term should he be re-elected to the United States Senate.

“Right now, my focus is on the year 2018, but if you’re asking me to make an absolute pledge as to whether I’ll be running for president or not, I’m not going to make that pledge,” Sanders said. “The simple truth is I have not made that decision. But I’m not going to sit here and tell you that I may not run. I may. But on the other hand, I may not.”

2020 VISION? Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren Win Re-Election to US Senate

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.06.18

Liberal Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren cruised to re-election Tuesday night; setting the stage for a brutal process should both legislators seek the Democratic Party’s nomination.

“Two potential 2020 Democratic candidates, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, both easily won re-election tonight, keeping their presidential aspirations alive and thriving,” writes Fox News.

“Sanders, who ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016 before losing to Hillary Clinton, defeated Republican Lawrence Zupan. Warren, who has had a contentious relationship with President Trump, beat out Republican Geoff Diehl, a state lawmaker,” adds Fox Election Headquarters.

Both sitting Senators have hinted at a potential run for the White House against Donald Trump in 2020; with Sanders saying he would decide “after the midterms” whether or not to make another bid for the Oval Office.
