Texas Democrat Beto O’Rourke weighed-in Wednesday on the growing “migrant caravan” slowly making its way towards the United States’ southern border with Mexico; accusing President Trump of “stoking paranoia” to motivate Republican voters.
The progressive challenger to Sen. Ted Cruz was speaking in Austin, Texas when he claimed the Trump administration was intentionally inciting “fear” over the impending caravan.
“There’s a lot of paranoia and fear,” said O’Rourke.
“It may not be an accident that we’re 13 days” from the midterm elections; saying recent calls to crackdown on the caravan come from “an administration that’s trying to make us scared of one another.”
The growing “migrant caravan” swelled to 14,000 immigrants earlier this week, with administration officials confirming that “previously deported” individuals were attempting to re-enter the United States.

CARAVAN CHAOS: Migrants Call Trump ‘ANTICHRIST,’ Say President ‘Going to Hell’
Immigrants taking part in the “migrant caravan” slowly making its way towards the US border unloaded on President Trump Monday; calling the Commander-in-Chief the “antichrist” after he threatened to crackdown on the immigrants should they reach America.
“Donald Trump is the antichrist,” said one man as he crossed into Mexico. “If he doesn’t repent, he’s going to hell.”

The “migrant caravan” marched north into Mexico from Guatemala over the weekend; setting the stage for a major showdown with the Trump administration when they reach the US border sometime this week.
CARAVAN CHAOS: The President May ‘CALL UP MILITARY’ to 'Close' US-Mexico Border
President Trump doubled-down on his demands that Central American nations block the growing “migrant caravan” before it reaches the United States’ southern border Thursday; saying he may “call up the military” to stem the escalating crisis.
The Commander-in-Chief issued his direct warning to El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico on social media as the growing “caravan” passed through Guatemala and headed towards the US.
“In addition to stopping all payments to these countries, which seem to have almost no control over their population, I must, in the strongest of terms, ask Mexico to stop this onslaught – and if unable to do so I will call up the U.S. Military and CLOSE OUR SOUTHERN BORDER!” posted the President.
