PAY TO PLAY: Chicago Mayor Candidate HANDS OUT $300,000 to Supporters

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.23.18

Millionaire Chicago Mayoral candidate Willie Wilson launched a unique campaign strategy over the weekend, literally handing out cash to supporters at a church in the Windy City’s South Side neighborhood.

According to WGN News, the businessman was joined by sitting Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner as the two doled out over $300,000 to 2,000 people as part of the Dr. Willie Wilson Foundation, a non-profit organization.

“My wife and I have been blessed by God to be able to get a few of the material things out of life and so it’s up to us to now continually to share back with all of you all and others,” said Wilson.

“Wilson’s campaign spokesman insists today’s appearance was not campaign related. But Chicago politicos on both sides of the aisle raised concerns about the event,” writes WGN.

GANGLAND: Democrat Candidate ROBBED DURING EVENT in Chicago

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.12.18

A Democratic candidate running for Illinois Attorney General –the state’s chief legal officer- was robbed at gunpoint during an official photoshoot in Chicago on Thursday; further highlighting the cities crippling crime wave that took the lives of over 600 people in 2017 alone.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Democrat Aaron Goldstein and his campaign staff were suddenly approached by at least three men who appeared to be in their early twenties. One individual brandished a pistol, demanding the candidate and his crew hand over their cameras and private property.

“The gunman and two other men robbed Goldstein and four others of camera equipment and their cellphones before they ran away,” writes the Tribune.

Goldstein, 42, commented on the incident on social media, saying “thank you all for your concern, well wishes, thoughts and prayers. My team and I are all good.”

President Trump announced last summer that his administration would be sending federal aid to help crackdown on Chicago’s escalating gun violence, saying “Crime and killings in Chicago have reached such epidemic proportions that I am sending in Federal help.”

GANGLAND: Over 1,000 People SHOT in ‘GUN FREE’ Chicago this Year

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.05.18

More than 1,000 people have been shot in Chicago in the first five months of 2018; raising grave security concerns in a city with some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation.

According to the Chicago Tribune, there have been 1,071 shootings in the Windy City that have resulted in 202 homicides so far this year.

“Chicago crossed the 1,000 mark after the long Memorial Day weekend, when seven people were killed and 32 were wounded by gunfire,” writes the Tribune. “This past weekend, 29 people were wounded and three people were killed in shootings across the city. Another three people were injured in accidental shootings.”

The spike in shootings comes as the city struggles to regain control of gang violence and illegal immigration, prompting many to turn to the federal government for help.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel found himself in hot water towards the end of May when hundreds of police protested the former Obama aide over his inability to clampdown on the violence.

“Chicago Police have every right to legally protest against the mayor and an administration that just won’t let them do their job,” President Trump tweeted. “The killings are at a record pace and tough police work, which Chicago will not allow, would bring things back to order fast…the killings must stop!”
