House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi received more bad news this week, with a new Gallup poll showing her approval rating at a nine-year low among members of her own party.
According to the survey, just 55% of Democrats approve of Pelosi’s job performance; raising serious questions about her leadership and political future following the highly-contested 2018 midterm elections.
“Pelosi has a 55% favorable rating among Democrats. This percentage matches the lowest favorability recorded for her in 2009 among her own party. Over the past 10 years, her rating among Democrats reached a high of 66% several times,” says the survey.
The poll comes days after several Democratic challengers refused to support Pelosi as Speaker of the House should their party retake control of Congress this fall.

PELOSI PANICS: Democratic Lead NARROWS Heading into 2018 Midterms
Republican members of Congress breathed a sigh of relief Monday with new polls showing GOP legislators closing the gap with liberal lawmakers; cutting the Democratic edge to five points just months before voters head to the polls.
According to a new survey published by left-leaning ABC News, generic Republican candidates trail their Democratic opponents by a margin of 49% to 44%; largely slashing double-digit liberal gains from months ago.
“JUST IN: Democrats’ advantage in 2018 midterms narrows in latest @ABC News/WaPo poll, with Democrats holding a five-point lead among registered voters certain to vote in November,” posted ABC’s social media editor.

The strong gains by Republican candidates comes on the heels of other positive polls; highlighting President Trump’s healthy 51% approval rating after months of strong economic data and diplomatic breakthroughs with North Korea.
PELOSI PANICS: Growing Number of Dems Looking to DITCH Nancy Ahead of Midterms
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is facing a growing revolt from within her own party in recent weeks, with more and more Democratic candidates saying they won’t vote for Pelosi as Speaker should they retake Congress this fall.
According to Fox News, Democrats across the country are weighing whether to support the California congresswoman ahead of the 2018 midterms; going so far as refusing to pledge support for Pelosi during Town Hall events and rallies.

“Perceived Pelosi ties could hurt the Democrats’ bid to hold the seat in the fall. In Pennsylvania, Democrat Conor Lamb surely made similar calculations earlier this year when he vowed not to support Pelosi for speaker – and went on to win a special election in a deep-red district that President Trump carried in 2016 by 20 percentage points,” writes Fox News.
“Nancy Pelosi is by far the most toxic politician in the country, and we continue to see her toxicity increase. CLF will spend millions of dollars reminding voters just how bad Nancy Pelosi is for the country,” added the Conservative Leadership PAC.
