Secretary of State Mike Pompeo promoted President Trump’s ‘America First’ agenda during his trip to Egypt Thursday; telling a crowd in Cairo the age of “self-inflicted American shame” has come to an end.
“Our eagerness to address only Muslims, not nations, ignored the rich diversity of the Middle East, and frayed old bonds. It undermined the concept of the nation-state, the building block of international stability,” said Pompeo. “And our desire for peace at any cost led us to strike a deal with Iran, our common enemy.”

“The good news is this: The age of self-inflicted American shame is over, and so are the policies that produced so much needless suffering. Now comes the real ‘new beginning,’” he added.
Pompeo’s address is part of his regional tour; with stops in Jordan and other Gulf nations in the coming days.

BRAIN FREEZE: Al Gore Demands Senate BLOCK POMPEO over Climate ‘DENIAL’
Former Vice President and climate change crusader Al Gore urged the Senate to reject President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of State Thursday, claiming Mike Pompeo was unqualified because he “denies the climate crisis.”
Gore took to twitter to slam Trump’s pick to lead the State Department, saying the former CIA chief has been “doing the bidding” for fossil fuel corporations for years; adding the American people “deserve better.”
“Senators should reject Mike Pompeo’s nomination to be Secretary of State. He denies the climate crisis, and has been doing the bidding for fossil fuel interests his whole career. The American people deserve better,” tweeted Gore.

The former Vice President’s comments come months after the global warming alarmist feverishly attempted to explain a brutally cold winter throughout the Northern Hemisphere; bizarrely suggesting that global warming is now causing “global cooling.”
BUSTED! NY Times ATTACKS 'Absent' Pompeo During Secret RESCUE MISSION
The New York Times viciously slammed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Tuesday, accusing the senior Trump aide of being “thousands of miles away” during the President’s Iran speech; despite the fact he was in North Korea negotiating the release of three prisoners.
According to Fox News, the Times blasted Pompeo for not being on hand as the President announced his decision to withdraw from the Iranian nuclear agreement; saying he was missing at a “key moment” of the Trump presidency.
“Senior State Department officials were momentarily speechless on Tuesday when asked why Mr. Pompeo did not delay his trip by a day to be in Washington during Mr. Trump’s Iran deal announcement,” writes the Times.
“The absence of Mr. Pompeo and other top State Department officials left perplexed European diplomats privately complaining that they were having trouble getting answers from Washington,” the author added.
It became clear by Wednesday that the reason Pompeo was “thousands of miles away” was to oversee the transfer of three American prisoners from North Korean officials to US custody.
