RATINGS BLOWOUT: Roseanne Returns to MASSIVE RATINGS, 18 MILLION Tune-In

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.28.18

The highly-anticipated return of one of television’s most iconic characters didn’t disappoint Tuesday night, with over 18 million viewers tuning in as ‘Roseanne’ posted the highest ratings of the season across the board.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the reboot is set to become one of the highest rated programs in years; upstaging the NBC smash-hit ‘This is Us’ and giving ABC its best numbers since 2006.

“The premiere delivered an incredible 18.2 million viewers along with an equally impressive 5.1 rating among adults 18-49,” writes EW. “In the adult demo, that even trumps Sunday’s heavily buzzed 60 Minutes episode which featured an interview with Stormy Daniels.”

The pro-Trump comedian made national headlines last week during a fiery appearance on late-night television; telling host Jimmy Kimmel to “zip that f***ing lip” after his repeated attacks on President Trump.

“I’m still the same, you all moved. You all went so f***ing far out you lost everybody,” Roseanne told Kimmel. “Seriously, a lot of your audience -including me- A lot of us, no matter who we voted for, we don’t want to see our president fail.”

Iconic comedian and Trump-supporter Roseanne Barr didn’t hold back when discussing politics during a late-night television interview; telling liberal host Jimmy Kimmel that he went so “f***ing far left” he lost everybody and should “zip that f***ing lip.”

Barr appeared alongside actor John Goodman while promoting their upcoming revival of television’s “Roseanne,” getting into a full-blown debate with Kimmel over Hillary Clinton, liberals, Donald Trump, and Mike Pence.

“You are a very liberal, socially liberal person in general,” started Kimmel.

“I’m still the same, you all moved. You all went so f***ing far out you lost everybody,” she interrupted. “Seriously, a lot of your audience -including me- A lot of us, no matter who we voted for, we don’t want to see our president fail.”

“So zip that “f***ing lip,” she added.

ROSEANNE UNCHAINED: The Actress Says Her Character is a Proud, WORKING CLASS Trump Supporter

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.27.18

Actress Roseanne Barr is doubling-down on her iconic character’s sharp wit and working-class roots as the show prepares for its official reboot later this month; saying the program will focus on American issues and why President Trump won the 2016 race for the White House.

The comedian was speaking with the New York Time when she was asked to comment on the impact President Trump’s election had on her character and herself, saying she wanted to focus on “How we deal with whole new issues that we didn’t even have before, like gender-fluid kids. How working class people — how and why they elected Trump.”

“I just wanted to have that dialogue about families torn apart by the election and their political differences of opinion and how we handle it. I thought that this was an important thing to say at this time,” she added.

“In terms of what they think, and how they feel when they are the ones who send their kids over to fight. We’ve been in wars for a long, long time, which everybody seems to forget — but working class people don’t forget it because their kids are in it,” said Roseanne.
