Just hours after a 17-year-old student opened fire at the Santa Fe High School in southeast Texas, new questions are being raised over whether local authorities and school officials missed multiple red flags that could have averted the deadly assault.
According to Fox News, the suspected gunman -identified as Dimitrios Pagourtzis- reportedly published disturbing posts on social media; including a “born to kill” shirt as well as images and writings on firearms.
“The caption, according to the news station, read, ‘We all die sometime.’ He also posted photos of guns, knives and a coat with Nazi insignias,” writes Fox News.
The suspect is currently being held at the Galveston County Jail on capital murder charges, with no possibility of bond, confirmed local police.
Pagourtzis reportedly opened fire in the high school’s art classroom, killing nine students and one teacher and injuring ten others before surrendering to law enforcement.
