“He’s prepared to sign the bill, he will also be issuing a national emergency declaration at the same time,” said the GOP leader during a meeting with his congressional colleagues.
“The White House did not immediately respond to a request to comment on whether Trump would do what McConnell said. A spokesman for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the California Democrat would hold a press conference Thursday afternoon,” reports CNBC.

President Trump weighed-in Monday morning on the escalating crisis surrounding the “migrant caravan” heading towards the United States southern border; calling the situation a “national emergency” and confirming he’s “alerted the military.”
The President repeated his warning to the undocumented workers on social media; confirming the Mexican authorities have been “unable to stop” the caravan from entering the country and marching towards the US.

The “caravan” is now estimated at over. 7,000 migrants and is expected to reach the United States within days.
