RUBIO REVOLT: Marco Rubio May VOTE NO on GOP Tax Bill

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.14.17

Florida Senator and one-time presidential hopeful Marco Rubio announced Thursday his plans to vote “no” on the GOP tax bill making its way through Congress, saying he will be unable to support the legislation without an expanded child tax credit.

According to the Washington Post, Rubio notified Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of his changed vote this week, urging the GOP leadership to include Rubio’s demands in the final version of the legislation.

“unable to support the legislation without an expanded child tax credit”

The so-called Rubio-Lee amendment would drastically expand the child tax credit, permitting millions of American families to claim a tax refund regardless of payroll and their income bracket. The provision pays for the increased credits by raising the GOP legislation’s proposed corporate tax cut.

While the GOP leadership expressed they may be willing to increase the commonly used tax credit, it remains unclear if they’ll be willing to bow to Rubio’s demands.

McConnell is in a full-court press to pass the Republican’s sweeping tax bill before the new year, when Democrat Doug Jones replaces GOP Senator Luther Strange following this week’s Alabama special election.

Following Jones’ swearing-in ceremony, the Republican-controlled majority shrinks to a razor-thin 51-49 margin.

Clinton Has PUBLIC MELTDOWN over GOP Tax Cuts

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.08.17

Doomed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton refuses to step out of the media spotlight, desperately posting a bizarre anti-GOP rant on social media for no apparent reason; writing that “there’s a lot to be frustrated by right now” and calling the GOP tax cuts a “giveaway for those who least need it.”

The former Secretary of State unloaded on President Trump and the Republican Party on twitter, calling out the GOP for allowing the Children’s Health Insurance Program to remain “in limbo” while “rushing” a tax cut to the rich.

“I’m going to keep tweeting about this, and speaking out every chance I get, until it is fixed,” she concluded.

It’s unclear what prompted Hillary’s angry tirade; with the tax cut legislation being passed roughly one week ago and the CHIP bill working its way through congress for months.

Clinton’s comments came under fire from not only conservatives, but also liberals who simply urged the two-time failed candidate to “just go away.”
