RUBIO UNLEASHED: The Senator SLAMS Media’s ‘INCREDIBLE HYPOCRISY’ over Trump-Kim Summit

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.12.18

Florida Senator Marco Rubio didn’t hold back while commenting on the news outlets’ “incredible” response to the historic Singapore Summit Tuesday, blasting the mainstream media’s overt “hypocrisy” towards the breakthrough meeting.

Rubio vented his frustration with the destroy-Trump press on social media, saying the President’s meeting “exposed incredible hypocrisy of many in the media.”

“Presidents meeting with #KJU exposed incredible hypocrisy of many in media. When Obama did these things,he was described as enlightened. When Trump does it he is reckless & foolish. 1 yr ago they attacked Trump for leading us towards war,now attack for being too quick for peace,” tweeted Rubio.

Rubio’s comments come just hours after President Trump announced the cessation of future military drills with the South Korean military, saying the maneuvers were “too provocative” during this sensitive time.

RUBIO REVOLT: Marco Rubio May VOTE NO on GOP Tax Bill

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.14.17

Florida Senator and one-time presidential hopeful Marco Rubio announced Thursday his plans to vote “no” on the GOP tax bill making its way through Congress, saying he will be unable to support the legislation without an expanded child tax credit.

According to the Washington Post, Rubio notified Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of his changed vote this week, urging the GOP leadership to include Rubio’s demands in the final version of the legislation.

“unable to support the legislation without an expanded child tax credit”

The so-called Rubio-Lee amendment would drastically expand the child tax credit, permitting millions of American families to claim a tax refund regardless of payroll and their income bracket. The provision pays for the increased credits by raising the GOP legislation’s proposed corporate tax cut.

While the GOP leadership expressed they may be willing to increase the commonly used tax credit, it remains unclear if they’ll be willing to bow to Rubio’s demands.

McConnell is in a full-court press to pass the Republican’s sweeping tax bill before the new year, when Democrat Doug Jones replaces GOP Senator Luther Strange following this week’s Alabama special election.

Following Jones’ swearing-in ceremony, the Republican-controlled majority shrinks to a razor-thin 51-49 margin.

FLIP FLOP: Rubio Changes His Mind, Will ‘VOTE YES’ on Tax Reform

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.15.17

Just hours after Marco Rubio threatened to “vote no” on the GOP tax legislation unless Senate leadership drastically increased the child tax credit, the Florida lawmaker now says he plans to “vote yes” on the Republican effort to update the nation’s overly complicated tax system.

According to Fox Business, sources say Rubio will now fully support the Senate tax plan slowly making its way through Congress. It remains unclear if the one-time Presidential hopeful received his demands from McConnell and other GOP leaders, or if he was pressured to support the bill as is.

“We don’t know if [Rubio] got what he wanted until they release the bill publicly, and we’re not expected to see the actual public release of the bill until around 4:30 this afternoon,” reports Fox Business. “Yesterday, when Senator Rubio and Senator Lee were pushing to get an increase in the refundable portion of the tax credit for people who don’t have any tax liability… A source told us that Senator Rubio will get what he wants, he’ll be a ‘yes vote,’ when this is all said and done.”

Mitch McConnell and the GOP leadership in the Senate and the House of Representatives are pushing the revised tax legislation through Congress as quickly as possible, hoping to pass the bill before the Christmas recess.

Adding more fuel to the fire is recently elected Democrat Doug Jones, who will slice the GOP’s razor-thin majority even further, reducing the margins to 51-49 after he is sworn in as the Senator from Alabama.
