SAN FRAN SCHEME: City Aims to BAN COMPANY CAFETERIAS to Prop Up Failing Restaurants

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.30.18

At least two San Francisco city supervisors are introducing legislation that would ban new company cafeterias throughout the region; hoping to shore up “failing restaurants” near major office buildings.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Supervisors Ahsha Safaí and Aaron Peskin are the co-sponsors behind the proposal, which would prohibit new construction sites from building “employee cafeterias.”

The legislators believe the low-cost lunches are having an adverse impact on local restaurants.

“This is another way to help support small businesses,” said Peskin. “We don’t want employees biking or driving into their office, staying there all day long and going home. This is about getting people out of their office, interacting with the community and adding to the vibrancy of the community.”

The proposal was harshly rejected by the San Francisco business community, whose employees view low-cost or free meals as a corporate benefit.

“Food in the workplace plays an important role,” said one executive. “All of that helps company culture, and it also helps companies create an attractive environment.”

CALIFORNIA CHAOS: Major Conventions ABANDON San Francisco Over ‘Safety’ Concerns

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.03.18

As thousands of Americans abandon San Francisco over rising crime, escalating homelessness, and rampant drug use, one major convention has decided to pull-the-plug on its semi-annual Bay Area conference; saying its members “no longer feel safe” in the region.

According to SF Gate, at least one “major medical association” has decided to cancel its annual convention in San Francisco; ending a tradition that extends back to the early 1980s.

“It’s the first time that we have had an out-and-out cancellation over the issue, and this is a group that has been coming here every three or four years since the 1980s,” said the President of San Francisco’s tourism bureau.

“The doctors group told the San Francisco delegation that while they loved the city, post-convention surveys showed their members were afraid to walk amid the open drug use, threatening behavior and mental illness that are common on the streets,” writes SF Gate.

“There was a time when the biggest obstacle to having a convention here was that it can be expensive, but now we have this new factor,” added the tourism insider.

CALIFORNIA CHAOS: San Francisco Eyes ‘DORMS FOR GROWN-UPS’ as Housing Dries Up

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.08.18

Residents in San Francisco are seeking “alternative solutions” for a total lack of affordable housing as the city continues to struggle with illegal immigration, homelessness, and crime; with some Bay Area locals eyeing “dormitories for grown-ups” as the only option left.

The New York Times published the bizarre story this week, titled “Dorm Living for Professionals Comes to San Francisco,” describing the recent housing crisis that has middle-income residents living in apartments with no kitchens, bathrooms, or living rooms.

“Shared bathrooms at the end of the hall and having no individual kitchen or living room is becoming less weird for some of the city’s workers thanks to Starcity, a new development company that is expressly creating dorms for many of the non-tech population,” writes the Times.

“Everybody told me housing in San Francisco was really expensive, but I was like, ‘I live in New York, how much more expensive can it be?’” said one dorm-dweller. “I was a bit cocky.”

The housing crunch comes as the state of California comes to terms with decades of liberal policies and years of ‘Sanctuary’ laws that have exploded the region’s homeless population and crime rates; forcing wealthy residents out of the cities and into the suburbs.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions addressed law enforcement officials in Sacramento on Wednesday, frankly stating “California, we have a problem.”
