SCHIFF SHOWDOWN: Adam Schiff Says AG Barr ‘Must Step Down’ After Mueller Letter

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.01.19

Rep. Adam Schiff called for Attorney General William Barr’s resignation Wednesday morning; saying the top DOJ official “must step down” over his handling of Robert Mueller’s ‘No Collusion’ conclusion.

“Barr’s answer to @RepCharlieCrist, denying knowledge of Mueller’s concerns over his summary, was deliberately false and misleading. If he were an ordinary citizen, it might be considered perjury. As our top law enforcement official, it’s even worse. He must step down,” posted the liberal lawmaker hours before Barr appeared before the US Senate.

Republicans have been calling for Schiff to resign from the House Intelligence Committee in recent weeks; accusing the top Democrat of “lying to the American public” over “proof” of Russia-Trump collusion.

ADAM SCHIFF: ‘I Don’t Know’ If Peter Strzok Should Still be at the FBI

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.18.18

Democratic lawmaker Adam Schiff admitted he wasn’t sure if anti-Trump DOJ official Peter Strzok should still be employed by the FBI this week, saying he acted “inappropriately” but didn’t go so far as to call for his removal from the agency.

Schiff was speaking with MSNBC’s host Chuck Todd on Sunday when he was asked if Peter Strzok “should still be with the FBI at this point?”

“I don’t know,” Schiff fired-back. “I imagine that the Office of Professional Responsibility will have to make that decision.”

“Certainly these text messages are troubling,” the congressman added. “The fact that they were on a work email, the fact that they were co-mingled with emails discussing business, all that’s problematic.”

ADAM’S ADMISSION: Schiff ADMITS McCabe’s FIRING ‘May Be Justified’

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.19.18

Ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee Adam Schiff acknowledged Sunday that Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ decision to suddenly fire FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe “may be justified,” seconds before calling the move “tainted.”

Schiff was speaking with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos when he was asked to comment on Sessions’ abrupt removal of the senior FBI official just days before he was due to retire.

“On Andrew McCabe, does the fact that the Inspector General did find that he lacked candor in some of his responses, and that his firing was recommended by career FBI officials. Does that suggest that his firing was or may be justified?” asked Stephanopoulos.

“His firing may be justified, there’s no way for us to know at this point,” admitted Schiff. “Even though it may have been justified, it can also be tainted.”

“I think the President badgering his Attorney General, his urging that he be fired before his pension could vest, and the fact that McCabe and every other Comey associates […] every one of them has been targeted by the administration,” he added.
