SCHUMER’S NIGHTMARE: Judiciary Committee Moves to Confirm 40 JUDGES Before Midterms

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.11.18

Just days after the US Senate voted to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh, GOP leadership is moving to place more than 40 additional judges on the federal courts before the high-stakes 2018 midterm elections.

“That would be in addition to 38 district judges and three circuit judges already pending on the Senate floor, who Republicans say they should confirm before they leave Washington to campaign for the mid-term elections,” writes the Washington Times.

McConnell ought to keep the Senate in session until we get all 41 of those judges done,” Grassley said during a radio interview Wednesday.

The move comes in the wake of the Senate’s vicious fight over Judge Kavanaugh, with leading Democrats revealing 11th hour sexual misconduct allegations to derail and delay the Justice’s confirmation process.

BOOKER BACKLASH: RNC Chair RIPS ‘Pathetic’ Cory Over Kavanaugh Hearings

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.04.18

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel unloaded on Sen. Cory Booker Tuesday, slamming the New Jersey legislator for using “crocodile tears” to fundraise off President Trump’s pick to join the Supreme Court.

McDaniel blasted Booker hours after Brett Kavanaugh arrived at the US Capitol to kick-start his Senate confirmation process; saying the left-wing lawmaker was using the public hearings to raise funds for his campaign.

“Cory Booker is using his crocodile tears as a ploy to raise money. It’s pathetic,” she tweeted.

Booker and his fellow liberal Senators dragged their feet during the opening hours of Kavanaugh’s hearings Tuesday; urging Chair Chuck Grassley to postpone the proceedings until they had more time to review the nominee’s court records.

GRASSLEY SPEAKS: Senate Judiciary Chairman Releases Kavanaugh Statement

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.17.18

Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley released a statement regarding President Trump’s pick to join the Supreme Court Monday afternoon; saying Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser “deserves to be heard” in an “appropriate manner.”

Grassley officially commented on the growing controversy just days after Sen. Dianne Feinstein disclosed a letter sent to the FBI that contained allegations of sexual misconduct when Kavanaugh attended high school approximately 35 years ago.

“Anyone who comes forward as Dr. Ford has deserves to be heard, so I will continue working on a way to hear her out in an appropriate, precedented and respectful manner,” said the statement from Grassley’s office.

The Senator added the Judiciary Committee will be “working diligently to get to the bottom of these claims.”

“The standard procedure for updates to any nominee’s background investigation file is to conduct separate follow-up calls with relevant parties,” said the statement.
