President Trump publicly slammed Attorney General Jeff Sessions Tuesday morning, openly blaming the nation’s top lawyer for the “Russian Witch Hunt hoax” that continues to cost the country millions of dollars.
The Commander-in-Chief slammed Sessions on social media, saying the special counsel’s probe continues “all because Jeff Sessions didn’t tell me he was going to recuse himself.”
“The Russian Witch Hunt Hoax continues, all because Jeff Sessions didn’t tell me he was going to recuse himself…I would have quickly picked someone else. So much time and money wasted, so many lives ruined…and Sessions knew better than most that there was No Collusion!” tweeted Trump.

The President’s comments come just days after he stated he “wished” he picked a different Attorney General; adding he would have chosen a different person for the position had Sessions informed him he would recuse himself from any investigation regarding the 2016 campaign.
SESSIONS UNDER FIRE: Trump Says He ‘WISHES’ He Picked A Different AG
President Trump escalated his war of words with Attorney General Jeff Sessions this week, saying he “wishes” he picked a different person to lead the Department of Justice after months of “frustrating” inaction on a series of issues.
The President called-out Sessions on social media Wednesday, quoting GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy after the Republican lawmaker said, “there are lots of really good lawyers in the country, he could have picked somebody else,” to which Trump added, “I wish I did.”
Rep.Trey Gowdy, “I don’t think so, I think what the President is doing is expressing frustration that Attorney General Sessions should have shared these reasons for recusal before he took the job, not afterward. If I were the President and I picked someone to be the country’s….

….chief law enforcement officer, and they told me later, ‘oh by the way I’m not going to be able to participate in the most important case in the office, I would be frustrated too…and that’s how I read that – Senator Sessions, why didn’t you tell me before I picked you…..

Just last week, the President demanded the DOJ launch an investigation into whether the FBI had an “inside man” interacting with the Trump campaign heading into the 2016 election.
A spokesperson for the Department of Justice and the Office of the Attorney General have yet to reply to the President’s comments.
DOJ DISASTER: GOP Rep. Says SESSIONS, ROSENSTEIN ‘In Contempt’
Rep. Mark Meadows believes Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein “should be held in contempt” over their efforts to stonewall the House Intelligence Committee’s Russia probe.
The GOP legislator was speaking with reporters Wednesday when he was asked to weigh-in on the President’s rocky relationship with Rosenstein, adding, “It’s members of Congress who have a bigger problem with Rod Rosenstein.”
“He is not giving us the documents, and he is not doing his job… If he is not going to do the job, he needs to go and find one that he will do, and so the frustration with the AG and the deputy AG is probably more of a focus of Congress, and it probably makes the president’s dissatisfaction pale in comparison,” said Meadows.
“They have not complied with the subpoena. They should be held in contempt if they can’t get it right,” he added.
