SHOCK POLL: Nearly 80% of AMERICANS Say Media Reports ‘FAKE NEWS’

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.06.18

A stunning new survey from Monmouth University Polling shows a vast majority of Americans believe the mainstream media actively promotes ‘fake news,’ a massive increase from a similar study conducted just one year ago.

The new data shows a whopping 77% of Americans believe the media -at least occasionally- reports ‘fake news’ stories; blaming both individuals covering the stories as well as editorial board rooms across the country.

That’s a stark increase from 63% who shared similar beliefs one year ago.

“The news about ‘fake news’ is not good, according to the Monmouth University Poll. Large majorities of the American public believe that traditional media outlets engage in reporting fake news and that outside sources are actively trying to plant fake stories in the mainstream media,” writes the survey.

“When it comes to the meaning of ‘fake news,’ a majority believe that it involves editorial decisions as well as inaccurate reporting. The public feels that social media platforms are partly to blame for the spread of fake news and are not doing enough to stop it,” the study adds.

FAKE NEWS ALERT: NY Times Praises Hurricane Response; Doesn't Mention Trump

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.26.17

The New York Times published an article praising the federal government’s response to both Hurricanes Harvey and Irma on Tuesday; conveniently forgetting to mention one crucial player in the middle of the national recovery effort: President Donald Trump.

The extensive article, titled “Amid Chaos of Storms, U.S. Shows It Has Improved Its Response,” applauded the Trump administration’s handling of the deadly storms, saying the US has learned from prior disasters and has drastically sped-up recovery efforts.

Absent from the article was any mention of the President himself.

The Times largely credited the streamlined disaster relief to better weather forecasting, increased coordination between federal, state, and local law enforcement, as well as evacuation procedures and “hurricane-resistant building practices.”

“Hurricanes Harvey and Irma may have revealed a largely unnoticed truth often buried under the news of unfolding tragedy: The United States appears to be improving in the way it responds to hurricanes, at a time when climate scientists say the threats from such storms, fueled by warming oceans, are growing only more dire,” writes the author.

“While the Homeland Security Department has been criticized as being expensive and bloated, it has also insured a system in which local, state and federal officials are inured to the idea of working and communicating together,” the article adds.

FAKE NEWS ALERT: Washington Post Ditches PRO-TRUMP HEADLINE After Liberal’s Complain

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.31.18

The left-leaning Washington Post caved to liberal pressure Tuesday night, altering a Pro-Trump headline after left-wing activists complained the newspaper was giving the President too favorable coverage.

The Post initially tweeted out their headline following the President’s State of the Union address, where the paper used the slogan “A call for bipartisanship.”

Liberals on social media went nuclear within seconds, complaining that the Post would “regret” the decision and asking if they were “kidding.”

“I’m genuinely disappointed in the Washington Post for this headline. I expect you guys to be able to see through the rhetoric and actually see it for what it was – epic country-wide trolling designed to rally Republicans and set Democrats teeth on edge,” wrote another user.

The Post eventually caved under the onslaught of left-wing pressure, changing the headline to “A ‘new American moment.’”
