STACEY’S CELEBRATION: Abrams’ Campaign Calls Judge’s Ballot Ruling a ‘MAJOR VICTORY’

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.15.18

Democratic candidate for Georgia’s gubernatorial race Stacey Abrams praised a Georgia judge’s decision Thursday that would allow the state to count absentee ballots on which voter’s personal information is incomplete or missing.

According to the Hill, Judge Steve Jones ordered Georgia’s Secretary of State to not certify the election results until the absentee ballots were counted.

“This is a major victory for Georgia voters and the Abrams campaign in the fight to ensure every eligible vote is counted and every voice is heard,” said Abrams’ campaign manager.

Abrams currently trails Republican Brian Kemp by a thin 50.3% to 48.8% margin. The Democrat needs to slim down the GOP lead in order to force an official recount throughout the state.

ABRAMS GAINS: Georgia Governor’s Race 'Narrows' One Week After Midterms

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.14.18

Democrat candidate for Georgia’s gubernatorial race Stacey Abrams claimed the race narrowed Tuesday night following a federal judge’s expected ruling that additional ballots could be counted.

“Democrat Stacey Abrams said she expects a federal judge to rule Wednesday in largely her favor regarding the federal lawsuit from her campaign filed over the weekend in hopes of forcing a runoff election in Georgia’s unsettled governor’s race,” writes Fox News.

Georgia is legally required to certify the election results by November 20th.

Abrams’ Republican challenger Brian Kemp called on the Georgia Democrat to concede this week; saying it was “mathematically impossible” for her to upend the election results.

DEM DENIAL: Stacey Abrams ‘ASSEMBLES LEGAL TEAM’ to Fight Georgia’s Election Results

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.08.18

Democratic candidate for Governor of Georgia Stacey Abrams is escalating her legal fight against the GOP’s Brian Kemp; refusing to concede the race and “assembling a legal team” to contest the results.

“Democrat Stacey Abrams’s team announced she’s filing litigation in a Georgia county, at a Thursday news conference after Georgia Republican Brian Kemp claimed victory in the governor’s race Wednesday,” writes the Daily Caller.

Abrams’ argument centers around her claim that absentee ballots in specific districts were not delivered to voters in time for the 2018 midterm elections.

“Our point is the one that has been made twice now,” said her lawyer. “To put it very simply all the votes haven’t been counted. How can anybody claim a victory when there are enough votes that have not been counted that could cause a runoff here? … We believe everybody is entitled to have their vote counted.”

Kemp currently leads Abrams 50.3% to 48.7%.
