TENSE IN TEHRAN: The President Slams Iran With ‘MOST BITING SANCTIONS EVER IMPOSED'

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.07.18

President Trump slammed the Iranian regime with “the most biting sanctions ever imposed” this week; warning global leaders that anyone “doing business with Iran” will “not be doing business with the United States.”

The Commander-in-Chief’s stark warning comes on the heels of his administration’s decision to re-impose tough penalties on the Islamic Republic just months after the US withdrew from the botched nuclear agreement.

“The Iran sanctions have officially been cast. These are the most biting sanctions ever imposed, and in November they ratchet up to yet another level. Anyone doing business with Iran will NOT be doing business with the United States. I am asking for WORLD PEACE, nothing less!” tweeted the President.

Leaders in Tehran have ratcheted up their rhetoric against the United States in recent weeks, warning the President that Iran was prepared to “destroy” his properties and “all he owns” around the globe.

IRAN CRISIS: Tehran on EDGE as Currency PLUNGES 18% in 2 Days

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.31.18

Iran’s currency continued to plummet Tuesday as the country struggled to contain an escalating financial crisis; plunging nearly 20% in just two days as calls for President Rouhani to step-in and stabilize the economy grow.

According to Bloomberg, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard -in a break from tradition- demanded Rouhani get a grip on the widening crisis as the Iranian rial dropped 18% since the beginning of the week.

The currency is now at an all-time low, hitting exchange rates of 116,000 rials for just $1. In January, the rate was 42,900 rials for $1.

“The unique and extensive backing you benefited from in past weeks shouldn’t preclude you from taking revolutionary actions to control prices and prevent the enormous increase in the price of foreign currency and gold,” said the IRG.

“Decision-making in today’s difficult circumstances necessitates revolutionary determination and decisiveness in dealing with certain managers’ weaknesses,” added Guard commander Mohammad Jafari.

IRAN ON EDGE: Leaders in Tehran ‘CALL FOR CALM’ After Nationwide Protests

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.02.18

Leaders in Tehran are calling for a day of “calm” following this weekend’s widespread “water” protests; when local residents attacked public buildings and other facilities over a host of issues including a severe water shortage.

According to Reuters, Iranian authorities pledged to address a series of concerns after the weekend’s violent demonstrations, including increasing resident’s access to drinking water and stopping the escalating currency crisis.

“Our effort is to bring these protests to an end as soon as possible with restraint from police and the cooperation of authorities, but if the opposite happens, the judiciary and law enforcement forces will carry out their duties,” said Iran’s Interior Minister.

Speaking at a graduation ceremony over the weekend, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei told students the US was working with other states in the region to destabilize the Islamic Republic.

“If America was able to act against Iran, it would not need to form coalitions with notorious and reactionary states in the region and ask their help in fomenting unrest and instability,” he said.
