The FBI sent its full background investigation into Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the White House and Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday; setting the stage for a vote on the potential Supreme Court Justice within days.
According to Fox News, those with close knowledge of the probe say it shows “no evidence” that corroborated allegations of sexual assault made by Dr. Christine Ford against Kavanaugh that took place in the early 1980s.

BOOKER GOES OFF: Cory Warns of ‘CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS’ Over Trump’s Court Pick
Democrat Senator Cory Booker unloaded on President Trump’s nominee to join the Supreme Court late Monday evening; saying Judge Brett Kavanaugh would likely be the Commander-in-Chief’s ‘get out of jail free card’ should he be confirmed.
Booker was speaking with reporters on the steps of the Supreme Court when he was asked to comment on Trump’s pick; saying the potential justice could spark a “constitutional crisis.”

“First of all, you need to understand that this was the only pick among the entire list that explicitly said the President shouldn’t be the subject of a criminal investigation,” said Booker.
“The President is saying I have a chance to now make sure the Supreme Court gets me a ‘Get out of jail free card,’” he added. “We in the Senate are concerned about avoiding a constitutional crisis.”
BREAKING NOW: Senate Republicans Agree to ‘One Week Delay,' FBI Probe into Kavanaugh
Republican leadership in the Senate agreed Friday to a “one week delay” to give the FBI time to investigate allegations of sexual assault against Judge Brett Kavanaugh dating back to the early 1980s.
The request -initiated by Sen. Jeff Flake- urged Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to delay the full Senate vote just hours after Dr. Christine Ford and Judge Kavanaugh appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
“There’s going to be a supplemental FBI background investigation” Majority Whip Sen. John Cornyn confirmed Friday.
The President signaled a willingness to allow GOP leadership to reschedule the vote earlier Friday after Flake’s announcement, saying “I’m going to rely on all of the people including Senator Grassley, who’s doing a very good job.”
