THIS IS CNN: Failed Florida Governor Candidate to Join CNN as ‘Political Commentator’

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.29.19

Failed Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum will officially join CNN as a “political commentator” in the coming days despite his ongoing ethics investigation; sparking new speculation the former Tallahassee mayor may be seeking another run for national office.

The left-wing Democrat confirmed his new position on social media Tuesday morning, writing “Thrilled to be joining @CNN as a political commentator.”

Gillum is currently under investigation for potentially violating Florida ethics rules in the run-up to the 2018 midterm elections; accepting tickets to events in Costa Rica and New York City during an FBI sting operation.

FLORIDA FAIL: Andrew Gillum Gains JUST ONE VOTE in Florida Recount, Refuses to Concede

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.16.18

Democratic candidate for Florida’s gubernatorial race Andrew Gillum gained approximately one vote in Florida’s ongoing recount against Republican Rick DeSantis this week; continuing to trail his GOP challenger by 33,683 votes.

“In the governor’s race, the recount showed that Democrat Andrew Gillum trailed Republican Ron DeSantis by 33,683 votes, a net gain of 1 vote for Gillum from the unofficial results reported last week. The margin was 0.41 percent out of more than 8 million votes cast, outside the 0.25 percent threshold needed for a manual recount,” writes the Orlando Sentinel.

Despite the lead, Gillum refuses to concede the election until Florida recounts “every legally cast vote.”

“A vote denied is justice denied — the State of Florida must count every legally cast vote,” Gillum said. “As today’s unofficial reports and recent court proceedings make clear, there are tens of thousands of votes that have yet to be counted. We plan to do all we can to ensure that every voice is heard in this process.”

FLORIDA FALLOUT: Agency Finds ‘Probable Cause’ Andrew Gillum Violated State Law

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.28.19

Officials in Florida moved forward with an “ethics complaint” Monday morning months after the 2018 midterm election; saying former gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum violated state law by accepting gifts during an FBI sting operation.

“The records in the case have not been made public by the state Commission on Ethics, but Gillum’s lawyer, Barry Richard, said late last week after leaving a hearing at the First District Court of Appeal that case will head to an administrative judge,” reports Fox News.

“We’re going to have a full evidentiary hearing before an independent judge. It’ll be open to the public, and everybody can decide for themselves,” added Richard.

The complaint claims Gillum violated Florida law by accepting gifts exceeding the $100 limit; alleging the former Tallahassee mayor received free tickets to events in Costa Rica and New York City.
