TRUMP: Pentagon Will ‘Build the Wall’ Should Democrats Block Funding

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.11.18

President Trump doubled-down on his demands for a complete border wall Tuesday; saying the US military will construct the barrier should Democrats and Republicans fail to reach a budget agreement in the weeks ahead.

The President posted the warning to liberal lawmakers on social media, writing “People do not yet realize how much of the Wall, including really effective renovation, has already been built. If the Democrats do not give us the votes to secure our Country, the Military will build the remaining sections of the Wall. They know how important it is!”

The President’s decision comes days after Sen. Ted Cruz formally introduced legislation that would secure $25 billion for the border wall; a bill unlikely to pass both houses of Congress.

'TOTAL CATASTROPHE': Four Separate IMMIGRATION BILLS FAIL in US Senate

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.16.18

Four separate immigration bills crashed and burned in the US Senate this week, capping off a week of fiery debate, negotiations, and eventually defeat as both the President’s proposal and a bipartisan bill failed to secure enough votes.

Trump’s four-part immigration plan -which would provide a pathway to citizenship for nearly two million ‘Dreamers,’ fund his border wall, and end “chain” migration- went down in defeat, with many Republicans joining their Democrat colleagues and sinking the bill in a 39-60 vote.

The Senate’s bipartisan deal also fell short just hours after Trump threatened to veto the bill he described as a “total catastrophe.”

“The Schumer-Rounds-Collins immigration bill would be a total catastrophe. @DHSgov says it would be ‘the end of immigration enforcement in America.’ It creates a giant amnesty (including for dangerous criminals), doesn’t build the wall, expands chain migration, keeps the visa,” Trump tweeted.

The Senate’s inability to pass any immigration deal comes as the March 5th deadline looms with the nation’s DACA program officially expiring; throwing into question the fate of millions of ‘Dreamers’ currently residing in the United States.

BORDER BREACHED: Central American Migrants ‘Trickling’ into the United States from Tijuana

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.10.18

A “steady trickle” of Central American immigrants traveling with the ‘migrant caravan’ are slowly entering the United States illegally across the southern border; eventually turning themselves over to federal agents rather than wait for months in Mexico.

According to the Associated Press, “A steady trickle of Central American migrants have been finding ways to climb over, tunnel under or slip through the U.S. border wall to plant their feet on U.S. soil and ask for asylum.”

The migrants breached the US-Mexico border with the hopes of avoiding months of wait times as thousands apply for asylum at American Port of Entry across the region.

“But by word of mouth, some have realized they can simply cross into U.S. territory, largely uninhibited by Mexican authorities. In twos or threes — occasionally by the dozen — they arrive at the border wall and manage to get over. Often within minutes, border officers quickly arrive to escort them to detention centers and begin ‘credible fear” interviews,’ adds the AP.

The revelation comes just days after Sen. Ted Cruz introduced legislation that would allocate upwards of $25 billion for President Trump’s signature campaign promise: The border wall.
