TRUMP'S CHALLENGE: 'I'll BEAT OPRAH' in 2020 Presidential Race

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.09.18

President Donald Trump told journalists Tuesday that he would have no problem defeating television superstar Oprah Winfrey in the 2020 presidential race, saying “I’ll beat Oprah” but adding that the race “would be a lot of fun.”

The President was speaking with reporters following high-level meetings when he was asked about Winfrey’s potential run for the White House, adding that “I don’t think she’s going to run.”

“Can you beat Oprah by the way?” asked one reporter.

“Yeah, I’ll beat Oprah. Oprah would be a lot of fun. I know her very well. I did one of her last shows. She had ‘Donald Trump’ for her last week. She had Donald Trump and my family and it was very nice. I like Oprah, but I don’t think she’s going to run.”

Oprah made national headlines this week when she delivered an impassioned speech regarding sexual harassment during the 75th annual Golden Globe Awards in Hollywood, sparking rumors that the television giant may be considering a potential run against Donald Trump for the White House in 2020.

BIAS ALERT: NBC ENDORSES Oprah 2020 During Golden Globes

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.08.18

NBC shocked users on social media on Sunday night, openly endorsing Oprah Winfrey for her possible presidential run in 2020 during its broadcast of the Golden Globe Awards; writing “nothing but respect” for the “future president” before being forced to delete the incendiary tweet.

The network posted the surprising message shortly after Winfrey accepted a lifetime achievement award, where she praised the media and told viewers that a “new day is on the horizon.”

“I want all the girls watching here to know that a new day is on the horizon! And when that new day finally dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women,” said Oprah.

A short time later, NBC removed the public posting; saying the tweet was created by a third party hired by the network to cover the Hollywood award ceremony.

“Yesterday a tweet about the Golden Globes and Oprah Winfrey was sent by a third party agency for NBC Entertainment in real time during the broadcast. It is in reference to a joke made during the monologue and not meant to be a political statement. We have since removed the tweet,” posted the network.

THIS IS CNN: Network Host FANTASIZES About Possible Oprah Presidency

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.08.18

Less than 24 hours after Oprah Winfrey’s highly-anticipated speech at the 75th Golden Globe Awards, CNN host Chris Cillizza could barely contain his excitement about a possible Oprah presidency; saying one “could close your eyes and image that speech in Iowa.”

Cillizza was speaking with a CNN panel to weigh-in on Winfrey’s comments during her acceptance of a lifetime achievement award; where the television superstar heralded the beginning of “a new day” in America.

“So, the speech…I guess I was a little taken aback in how you could close your eyes and imagine that speech being given in Iowa, or as a campaign kickoff. That’s not to say anything, but you can close your eyes, particularly at the end,” said Cillizza.

“She’s speaking to Hollywood, she’s not speaking to Iowa, but still that message was very powerful,” he added. “Oprah is Oprah for a reason. This is not someone who blunders into things. This is not someone who doesn’t think what her words and her actions will mean.”

“You don’t give a speech like that, in that moment, with those expectations unless you know there’s going to be some talk of it,” added the host.
