Thirteen members of the House of Representatives sent a scathing letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions this week, demanding he appoint a second special counsel to investigate the Department of Justice’s handling of the ‘Russia Dossier’ in obtaining FISA warrants against the Trump campaign.
The GOP Representatives -including Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz, Mark Meadows, and others- submitted their official request Wednesday, urging the Attorney General to fast-track his investigation into reports the FBI used Clinton-financed material to obtain surveillance warrants.
“As you know, evidence has come to light that raises serious concerns about decisions and activities by leadership at the highest levels of the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding how and why the Clinton probe ended and how and why the Trump-Russia probe began,” states the letter.
“Additionally, important questions have been raised with regards to FISA warrants targeting U.S. citizen Carter Page. We write to urge you today to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate these decisions and activities,” add the Representatives.
Attorney General Sessions found himself in hot water this week after the President called his reliance on the Inspector General to investigate reports of FISA abuse “disgraceful.”

COLLUSION DELUSION: Unhinged Pelosi Calls FISA MEMO ‘Bouquet to Putin’
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi didn’t hold back while commenting on the House Intelligence Committee’s decision to disclose the explosive FISA memo on Friday; releasing a bizarre statement that referred to the document as a “bouquet to [Trump’s] friend Putin.”
Pelosi posted her official statement to social media within minutes of Chairman Devin Nunes’ decision to disclose the controversial material to the American public; saying the President “surrendered his constitutional responsibility” when he de-classified the document.
“President Trump has surrendered his constitutional responsibility as Commander-in-Chief by releasing highly classified and distorted intelligence. By not protecting intelligence sources and methods, he just sent his friend Putin a bouquet,” she writes.
“As the Speaker and former Vice Presidential candidate, Speaker Ryan knows how dangerous it is to jeopardize our intelligence and national security. Why is he enabling this recklessness and not taking action to remove Chairman Nunes?” Nancy asked.

ARMAGEDDON AGAIN: Pelosi Warns of a ‘CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS’ Over FISA Memo
Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi continued her all-out war against the House Intelligence Committee and President Trump Friday afternoon, telling reporters the President will spark a “constitutional crisis” should he use the recently released FISA memo to fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
Pelosi addressed reporters just hours after Congressional leaders publicly disclosed the four-page document; showing the debunked ‘Trump Dossier’ was used by the FBI and DOJ to secure FISA warrants to spy on “at least one” senior Trump aide.
“With the memo… [Trump] has abdicated his responsibilities as Commander-in Chief to protect the American people by protecting our intelligence sources and the rest,” Pelosi told CBS News.
“If the President uses this fake, horrible release of distorted intelligence as an excuse to fire [Deputy Attorney General Rod] Rosenstein or [special counsel Robert] Mueller, it could lead to a constitutional crisis.”
The House Minority Leader’s fiery rhetoric comes on the heels of her official statement regarding the memo, where she bizarrely referred to the de-classified material as a “bouquet” from President Trump to Vladimir Putin.
