UNHAPPY MEALS: Bernie Sets His Sights on McDonald's, Demands $15 Hourly Wage

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.05.18

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders settled on his next corporate target this week; demanding McDonald’s pay all of its employees a $15 minimum wage despite age, work experience, or position at the company.

Sanders sent a scathing letter to McDonald’s CEO Steve Easterbrook Thursday; saying “No one in America, especially those working for a profitable corporation like McDonald’s, should be living in poverty.”

Sanders’ new demand comes just days after Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos caved to the liberal legislator’s campaign against his company; increasing the minimum wage to $15 but slashing bonuses and stock options to help finance the higher pay.

AMAZON STRIKES BACK: Bezos Accuses Bernie of ‘MISLEADING’ Americans on Work Conditions

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.30.18

Online retail giant Amazon fired-back at Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders this week; making a are political statement that accused the Democratic Socialist of “misleading” the American people with “inaccurate” information.

Amazon posted the scathing statement on social media after Sanders slammed CEO Jeff Bezos for difficult working conditions and low-wages at distribution centers across the country; claiming employees were sleeping in cars and receiving government assistance.

“Senator Sanders continues to make inaccurate and misleading accusations against Amazon,” said a post on Amazon’s website. “We have been in regular contact with his office and have offered several opportunities for Senator Sanders and his team to tour one of our fulfillment centers (FCs). To date he has still not seen an FC for himself.”

“Instead, Senator Sanders continues to spread misleading statements about pay and benefits. Amazon is proud to have created over 130,000 new jobs last year alone. In the U.S., the average hourly wage for a full-time associate in our fulfillment centers, including cash, stock, and incentive bonuses, is over $15/hour before overtime,” adds the statement.

BERNIE VS BEZOS: Sen. Sanders ROASTS AMAZON Over ‘DEMANDING’ Working Conditions

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.28.18

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders unloaded on Amazon owner Jeff Bezos Tuesday, releasing a scathing statement that slammed the corporation’s “demanding working conditions” and asked employees to share their stories on his website.

Sanders -who just this week blasted Disneyland for refusing to raise their minimum wage- blind-sided Bezos on social media, posting “Amazon is one of the wealthiest corporations in the world, and its owner, Jeff Bezos, is the richest man on the planet, worth over $155 billion.”

“Despite this, Bezos continues to pay many thousands of his Amazon employees wages that are so low that they are forced to depend on taxpayer-funded programs such as food stamps, Medicaid and subsidized housing to survive,” added the statement.

“Amazon is proud to have created over 130,000 new jobs last year alone. These are good jobs with highly competitive pay and full benefits,” added an Amazon spokesperson.
