UPDATE: CNN Responds to ‘Non-Story’ about Local TV Station’s Pro-Wall Position

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.11.19

CNN officially responded Friday to widespread criticism the network failed to include a local television station’s perspective because of their pro-wall position; calling the accusations of media bias a “non-story.”

“We called several local stations to book someone for a show. We didn’t end up booking any of them. That happens many times every single day. We did, however, book a reporter from KUSI for a story on immigration and the border wall in November. This is a non story,” the network’s communications department posted on social media.

The local station called-out CNN after the network failed to include their coverage of the President’s border visit; saying “they didn’t like what they heard from us.”

IRONY ALERT: CNN’s Acosta Says No ‘National Emergency’ at Section of Border WITH THE WALL

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.10.19

CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta took his war-of-words with the White House to the next level Thursday; posting an online video of himself at the US-Mexico border and claiming there’s no “national emergency” taking place in the region.

“I found some steel slats down on the border. But I don’t see anything resembling a national emergency situation.. at least not in the McAllen TX area of the border where Trump will be today,” said Acosta.

President Trump is expected to meet with local and federal officials Thursday; hearing first-hand accounts of the ongoing crisis taking place along the United States’ southern border with Mexico.

REPORT: CNN ‘Declined’ to Air San Diego TV Station’s ‘LOCAL VIEW’ Due to Pro-Wall Position

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.11.19

A local television station based in San Diego claimed Thursday that CNN refused to air their “view” on border security due to previous reporting on how “effective” a border wall has been for the region.

“A San Diego television station on Thursday said that CNN had asked for a ‘local view’ and then ‘declined to hear from us’ after past reports from the station showed that a border wall was effective,” reports the Hill.

“Thursday morning, CNN called the KUSI Newsroom asking if one of our reporters could give them a local view of the debate surrounding the border wall and government shutdown,” claimed a report from KUSI.

“KUSI offered our own Dan Plante, who has reported dozens of times on the border, including one story from 2016 that was retweeted by former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, and posted on DrudgeReport.com,” the report added.

“We believe CNN declined a report from KUSI because we informed them that most Border Patrol Agents we have spoken to told us the barrier does in fact work,” it confirmed.
